This works for minor programs and games from 2016 and earlier.

When I got to uninstall I ran repair on each instead and then restarted. fixed it for me.

For me, I didn't have the 2015 Visual x64 in my control panel. But when I tried to install the x64 visual I had an error saying that I already had a newer version of it installed, what does this mean?
