    Thanks for this. I had a situation with a pastor at a church I attended and I fell on both sides. I tried to correct him, he wouldn’t / couldn’t, and eventually I left after what I believe was a direct instruction from God. I admit to my shame that I then talked about him for some time to others. I eventually realised my mistake and God corrected me (and how: I wonder at God’s patience) and I repented of it, but I find comfort in Andrew’s advice that I didn’t sow discord amongst the church members. I should have handled some of my behaviour differently, but God had been gracious to me and restored me to himself.

    @8:25 teaching Biblical Conflict
    8:43
    Step 1. Direct conversation
    Matthew 18:15-20
    (*if 2 or 3 agree in prayer often taken out of context)
    Have you talked individually to the person 1st? Then with 2 or more, then w church. Never talk about a person without personally talking to that person first.
    17:35 an elder definition is one must be sober meaning they are void of speculative imagination.
    Go with an open heart not just to vent. Attempt clarification first.
    Step 2
    If that didn’t work go with 1 or 2 more with open hearts for the sake of arbitration.
    26:20
    Step 3
    Bring person before church for purpose still of arbitration
    Step 4
    26:40 if they won’t listen to church then have no company with them that they might be ashamed not excommunication, physically and spiritually until they start reaping what they are sowing.
