I agree. Adrian had soul, had a message, he was a real frontman. His presence was otherworldly and he wanted to make this world a better place. Not to mention his screams were full of emotion, which is what music is all about. Marcus is nothing more than a good vocalist. Talented for sure, but no legend material... and the new album sucks. I tried to like it, listened to it over and over again, but it doesn't make my soul wander out to the far reaches of the universe, floating among all kinds of matter, light and color. Northlane was a journey, now they're just a shadow of their old selves.

All Northlane is amazing. Their EP was great, their debut was FANTASTIC, and Singularity really brought out the musicality each individual has. Pure musical gold. Original, beautiful, emotional... Not sure what else you want from a band.

The first Metal I've ever listened to was Bring me the Horizon, and though I still like them, their instrumental sound a little off to me, now that I also listen to other, instrumentaly less edited, bands. So I'm glad I found Northlane. It's awesome in its own way, and the screamer has a little flavor of Bring me the Horizon, but heavier. Great band in many ways.

Yeah I understand it's not "going to be the same" but this was the best for Adrian anyway :( he had vocal problems and such and his health wasn't 100%, but yes hopefully the next vocalist who comes along will keep Adrians Legacy alive :)
In either case, Northlane is a breath of fresh air. One of the few just making it the old fashioned way: personal identity that only certain people can appreciate. Not a coverall formulation of song/vocal structure meant to be liked by as many people as possible. They still have conviction and I appreciate that. See you in Houston northlane!
