I have a 2017 GT XL and wished I had not bought it!!!!! Bought it from RV ONE in Buffalo NY and had many, many workmanship problems !!! Service from both dealer and the factory is BAD!!!! I have owned travel trailer, two different 5th wheels, that where better bulit then this motorhome. I won't shop the big dealers anymore as thier low price may cost you more later!!!
You do a great reviews,,,, Keep up the good job. Maybe you should do reviews on units one year after the sale.

I purchased this unit and it will arrive in December. It’s built but the paint shop is way behind. Also I did not pay anywhere near the 233,000 MSRP ( but some dealerships are holding out for top dollar) No coach is perfect but for our needs it’s way better than our current coach. Those who commented that the floor was dark need to see it in person. It’s not dark. Thank you Matt for doing your review on the GT 7.

The cutout under the dinette looks like Stevie Wonder made them. This shoddy workmanship on what you can see, imagine what the hidden areas look like! And what about the sawdust, that speaks wonders for the RV dealership as well, how about a quick vacuum 🤔

Great looking paint job, love the look of the rear of the coach, great size generator. Love that it has a drop down bunk. Great dinette, however disappointing that there is no pull out storage for their top of the line class A gas. In love with that couch! Great tv placement as well. Glad the call, text, email or FaceTime is back! Great kitchen layout with a great oven/stove and convection microwave, very nice touch. Disappointing that the bed isn’t useable with the slides in. Great having the stackable washer/dryer. Great master bath. Tons to like about this coach.

Love the doggie door, big fridge, and kitchen counter top with farm sink! The wood openings under the dinette were really rough with splinters, be careful! The toilet is right in front of the 2nd sink and mirror in the bathroom. Maybe switch storage cabinet to where that sink & mirror are at. The floor would have looked nice with the shiny marble look tile that's popular right now. The faux wood floor is too faux.

The fit and finish of under dinette storage looks like a beaver chewed the opening. Plus, it wasn't detailed with a simple vacuum as wood chips appear laying inside. A little more time and detail to fix it would be sand smooth and clear coat the wood. Or, install knock on trim around rough openings. Probably why I don't have a camper I hate stuff that looks like a dog pile.

Dislikes: passenger computer table, terrible storage under dinette (drawers, please), and I think I would prefer a pocket door on the back bathroom. Guys, love yourselves. I don’t like the shiny cabinets, the horizontal headlights, small tvs, valances are ugly, dark floor or the passenger desk. Love the shower size, the high back couch, soft close drawers, big fridge but prolly too big for me, big baths, tilt up bed that will get crushed the first trip due to forgetting to raise it, lots of storage, seat in the shower, double vanity, and washer/dryer. The cost, ugh.

I like Forest River coaches. Lots of nice features.
    Lots of storage
    Beautiful paint
The dinette is nice and large.
Three things I don’t care for:
That little passenger flip out work “tray” looks almost useless.
I did not like how the over the bed cabinet doors opened
I don’t like the flip up counter extension because it blocks the door.

Thanks Mat and Andrea for this review. We are looking for a class a for retirement. This unit is awesome my only dislike is not able to use the back bed with the slide in. Keep up the good work.

Absolutely beautiful motor coach! Three dislikes, three likes. Dislikes: 1. Floor - it looks like my old travel trailer and my older pop up - fake wood floor. Why in the world don't they have a ceramic tile look? 2. The valances throughout do not have side valances. You can see through the sides into the coach. Not a good design. 3. Nothing else - they did a good job on this coach. 3 likes: Actually, we have more than three but here goes. 1. Overall layout - comfortable and modern. sufficient seating, big bed, plenty of storage, washer & dryer, double vanity in Master Bath, kitchen layout. 2. Outside look - stunning paint job and overall great look to the motorhome. 3. Storage, storage bay doors, and storage interior. Good job on making it useful and easy to maintain. 4+. Matt, I have to disagree - We love the headlight design. It is modern and high class. As you said - not a deal breaker but the Audi (Euro) design is so yesterday. I had that design on my 2000's cars.
We have one of these on order so I'll give an update after we've had it awhile.

If we go super C, we are going with the Entegra Accolade 37K - If we go gas A, this one is it - It checks most all our boxes. Like we commented on most all of them, I would ask them to take out the 1/2 bath and make it a walk in closet or a walk in pantry. The space would be more functional for us who will have 2 people. Maybe that would even shave off the price point since it wouldn't be so much plumbing, toilet, sink, etc. I am hoping by the time we buy in about a year, they will offer that option. - Thank you guys so much for doing this one :)

Called my Forest River contact. Sent pictures of furniture tags and vin number as requested.
Told I would be contacted annnnd still waiting (4weeks) at this writing.
Looking for my opinion.. You should hear the rest of my story like staying in a hotel for a week while getting new flooring, microwave, and stove replaced. Other down times like having the furnace installation completed by the dealer.
These coaches ride rough and are very noisy especially in wind.
7.3 V8 does the job and we are getting 7.5 to 8 mpg.
Very uncomfortable for full time living and we will sell the one we own as soon as we can buy a truck to tow a 5er which will not be a Forest River product.
    Your money.. your decision.

No being a RV user, I just don't get dinettes and the couches shown here as being comfortable to sleep on. When Matt dropped the table, it didn't sit flush with the benches. Does one sleep lengthwise or widthwise? Limited to a kid or large dog? Those jackknife couches don't look in any way comfortable to sleep on. I see these in many units shown on this channel. BTW, this and towables are the only RV channels I watch because they are fun and informative.

For the price of that thing I find the dashboard very underwhelming!

Andrea said bland, Cherry wood would have brightened it a bit, if not too dark. Washable flush buttons? Looks like it, great job in Covid times! If they are electric, the buttons, make sure they can get wet, say from a bottle of windex blasted on them without staining the surround. Glad Matt mentioned the drains in the outside storage this time. Great feature! Can the "table cushion" fit above the drivers head or is it too thick? Where does it go? Where do the sink and stovetop covers go? If there is a place, can you show us Matt? No, you can not, because Andrea does the kitchen! Ha! Gotcha. Why don't you cover the headlights? Why is there a recessed area? On a sports car it would be covered for better aerodynamics. Maybe an extra 1/2 mpg? Distance matters! :) The rest of the front looks pretty smooth, wonder if it would help much. Matt just mentioned the headlights. Still watchin. Wait here. Big shower, glass doors, both baths GREAT layout, and sinks you can stick your head into and wash your hair and save water because of slanted sides, GREAT! Had those at home, lots of boys.

I love the wood color, but, it would give off more warmth and richness if it wasn't toned down with the 👎🏻grey in the color scheme! It doesn't have that shine and rich color of "mink", as I love to see and refer to it as. It needs more golden warmth in the beige.

They aren't making the XLs anymore, from what I've seen on their website and the forest river forums.

that passenger side computer tray really does suck... would rather have 3 person sofa same as the one in there, with a little desk on one end or the other, between dinette and couch would be good spot to me, just the size of one recliner spot, do not lose any seating that way really either, just end up with a computer or desk chair there instead of recliner, still seat same amount of people if need be, give you a place for actual desktop, or/and a printer possibly 2nd monitor for laptop as i run normally. nothing else i would change at all, bunk over cab mostly useless to me, but eh, having an emergency spot for a friend without changing dinette around is nice i guess, rather have another tv up there like some have instead...... being single i would maybe even say get rid of 2nd bathroom and put office in there, but, that occasional guest..... and the fact for me computers tv game system and everything are all part of same system in same room anyway, do not need seperate office, just desk space in living room.

Question, for a rig that is over 200k the cabinets under dinette seats are unfinished. In the video, showing rough wood and chips.

Where were the to holders in the bathrooms? I also don't like the valences that don't have the side pieces; light comes in on the sides, especially in the bedroom

Beautiful motorhome. I've never seen a George Town before. I don't think it looks bland at all but I agree about the computer table being cheap. Love the half bath too.

Dislike the panels under the drop down bunk. Looks cheap. Dislike the storage under the dinette. Looks like some critter gnawed on it to make an access hole. Dislike the second sink in the main bath. Appears only a small child could use it and then the mirror would be too high. Like the paint job. Like the floor plan. Like the combo (kitchen, pantry, and windows).

  • @Agg1E91

A little disappointed with the front area layout, fit and finish, given the price. And speaking from experience, those plastic turn dials will eventually crack where they cover the metal post and will not actually turn it. Strongly recommend getting some replacement dials now, while the unit is still being sold new.
