Start by making a tall centrepiece vase from two vases 5” square vase and 24” thin tower vase. Use a glue gun to decorate a square vase with a measured piece of diamond ribbon. Use the glue gun to secure the tower vase inside the square vase. Measure and cut pieces of dry oasis foam to fill the remaining space inside the square vase. Take 5-6” of white styrofoam balls and push it against the top of the tower vase.
Use the marks on the styrofoam to cut an opening that fit perfectly to the top of the tower vase. Use the glue gun to attach styrofoam and secure. Take the bunches of dollar store artificial flowers and artificial greenery and using wire cutters cut the stems approximately the same length(12”-14”). Arrange flowers sticking them up to 2” inside the styrofoam ball. Mix stems of the flowers with stems of greenery equally around the ball. Finish the arrangement by filling remaining gaps with artificial filler flowers like artificial Baby’s breath or Forget me not flowers.
Arrange the bottom part of the centrepiece in the dry oasis foam the same way.
You can substitute the styrofoam with a special Grand size bouquet holder for artificial/silk flowers.
Materials used:
5x5” glass square vase
24” tall tower vase
Artificial silk flowers, ivy greens, filler flowers
5” styrofoam ball or Grand bouquet holder
Glue gun, dry oasis, diamond ribbon, wire cutters.

It’s a great idea, but as a trained florist of 30 yrs, the hot glue won’t hold glass on glass, secondly you need oasis for artificial flowers the brown brick for the bottom, as the wet oasis you have used will fall apart after some use say if you are using these for events and parties, third you need more weight at the bottom, this would be prone to being top heavy. I would have placed the ball on the vase first then in the vase, as you can have a better grip on it.
I’m not being negative or horrible I just think these comments should be taken into consideration when making such a lovely arrangement.
Hello! I think they used the hot glue as a temporary hold so they could easily separate and use those two pieces again. I do the same thing when I just need to use it for a particular purpose.
OneWay Designs238 hello , I understand but it’s not weighted enough, and if your out on event jobs , you will have the risk of the glue breaking off the flat surface and the other vase being loose while in transit , in storage or at the venue. If your hiring out more then once you need it to be stable because it’s a bother to mend when your short of time. Also the wrong oasis is being used, you don’t use wet oasis for silk flowers
@@OneWayDesigns I do the same thing I just use a stronger glue stick. I have a glass display that I have used 3 times already and have had no problems! I'm sure this probably was for demonstration purposes! They were all beautiful!!
Some people get offended when you try to help with tips. We learn along the way. I know what your saying about it being top heavy and falling over at a venue or coming apart too. We are not at all professionals, but if you are in it for the money you certainly have to take into account those liabilities, or you would have some very annoyed customers. You learn all that in a floral design course. Your having fun and crafting and thats important too. We shouldn't take everything to heart... Peace
