The sequence after 0:24 shows the original Monument Bridge in Hull. Built in 1829, it was replaced by a wider bridge in 1905 that allowed trams to cross from the newer part of the city to Hull's old town. This exceptional footage of the 1829 bridge still in place has enormous historical value.
The sequence before 0:24 does not show any location in Hull that I can match with the books and over 10,000 historical photos in my collection. I agree with vitobee: three vehicles, all with BB Newcastle registration marks, suggest that this first sequence was filmed in Newcastle-upon-Tyne.

British Movietone You're very welcome, Jenny. I'm just knocked out by the amount of valuable historical footage that British Movietone have put online. It's a fantastic project -- respect and thanks to all involved!
By the way, anyone with an interest in or questions about historic photos or film footage of Hull, East Yorkshire, is recommended to visit Keith Parker's 'Hull The Good Old Days' Facebook group at:
      facebook.com/HullTheGoodOldDays
Thousands of historical photos have been posted in the group, and a lot of them end up being discussed and analysed. The group has a team of historical 'detectives' that have cracked dozens of mysteries, identifying locations in old photos and films by cross-referencing with other photos, researching in historical census records, trade directories and newspapers, using shadows to find time of year and compass orientation, etc.

Just a thought... does the opening scene of the steam driven brewery trucks really depict Hull? These, and the car that follows, have Newcastle registration marks.

I recognise the William Wilberforce Statue (around 0:35)!
