I just found this video. This, by far, is the most beautiful and thought-provoking version of Trilogy. I was Keith Emerson's partner until his death. He would have loved this. You made the piece your own, and that's something Keith loved. He loved that musicians take his music and make them their own. Thank you Massimo. You made my day.
Dear Mari, thank you! I am honored by your comment. Trilogy is a beautiful composition and I'm glad you enjoyed my execution. After this video of mine, I kept studying, trying to improve my piano arrangement and I added the parts that are missing in this version. I've been completing my work for a couple of years, but I haven't released it on You Tube yet; sooner or later I will and I hope you will come back to listen to me. I'm so sorry Keith left us. He has been a very important figure in my life ever since I started listening to his music as a teenager. My choice to become a professional musician is also due to him and his music has been and will always be in my heart.
There are cover versions on utube, some by pretty talented people. Your version has the perfect tempo, unlike some others who rush this piece. Also you play the vocal melody which make your version unique. A brilliant performance!
There are moments when you think this is the music of heaven Keith Emerson could bring you to a height that makes you explore the Classic masters. But you can also hear a ragtime or boogie woogie in his works. And just a hint of Bernstein as well. I like this interpretation because it pushes into the Rock elements of the work. BRAVO! RIP Keith Emerson.
All I can say is...wow! Always loved this piece by Emerson. You did this justice and beyond. Watched this 5 times already. Wish I could play piano this good.
This is wonderful. I am a massive Keith Emerson fan and ELP. It’s not always possible to see the hands on the keyboard showing how this piece is played. Your touch and timing seemed very very close to the mighty Emerson himself. Thank you for putting this up. It’s so beautiful it brings tears to my eyes.
Found your video in 2024! OMG, what a brilliant arrangement and performance!!! Can't believe I'm listening to this for free... Your performance deserves a much better environment and a bigger stage!!! Wish I could travel back in time to help you setup lighting and record your performance in a better video quality - to try to match your performance quality > < ...
You listen to this maestro performing trilogy a masterpiece anything about it Emerson Lake and Palmer or not in the Rock ‘n’ roll Hall of Fame think about that for a minute
One of the comments below said, "All presented here in a cover of one of the great Keith Emerson's masterpieces." Amen to that. I had thought some years ago that Jordan Rudess would be the heir apparent to Keith. Unfortunately not, as there will never be another Keith and it is unlikely anyone will use the phrase "one of the great Jordan Rudess Masterpieces." He just doesn’t have anything that comes close to an Endless Enigma, Tarkus or Trilogy in his repertoire. In fact, many times in a Dream Theater song his keys are completely lost in the mixes against the drums and guitar. Rest well Keith, you earned it.
Massimo: I am a professional pianist and follower of Keith Emerson. There are many versions of his works on CZcams (in general very good) but in the category "ELP works on piano" you take my congratulations by far. In this case you have followed the score published by Warner but you have improved many details here and there that will help me improve my poor version. Thank you so much
Thanks Lucky Man. In 2021, I think I have greatly improved this arrangement, also correcting other inaccuracies in the commercial score. Above all, I completed it and I inserted Emerson's Solo. There are a couple of my recent videos that show some of the work done. Among other things, I rewrote the melody with the rhythm with which Greg Lake sings it (freer and more articulated than the one written on the score), but I'm still not convinced that it sounds good on the piano ... at first I was , but listening to it again after months I have some doubts ... open this doubt, however, I am satisfied with the work I have done and that I would like to put on You Tube as soon as possible.
@@MassimoBucciMusicista Thank you very much colleague for answering in such detail. I'll check out the other videos and keep an eye on the one I hope you'll upload to CZcams soon. In any case I have revised your version and it is very close to the original. Let's not forget that translating the colors and articulations of the voice and the multiple layers of synthesizers to the piano is not an easy task. Sincerely .
I don't know how I didn't come across your music before now, but you play many songs of my most favorite band, ELP!!!! And this is one of my favorite songs of theirs. Absolutely beautiful...totally mesmerizing!!!!
Wow. To think all this time I wanted to hear this masterpiece from Keith Emerson and am just now getting around to hearing it just as it is here. Thank you, sir.
Bravo.

+joe duran Thank You very much!
Unbelievable. This is one of the best songs of all time in my opinion and the way you covered everything is absolutely beautiful.
Elements of Bartok, Stravinsky, Litszt, Gershwin, all XX century music, from classical to jazz... all merged in an unique style. Number one ☝️
... and Ginastera too
@@AlcorMoog Amen to that
All presented here in a cover of one of the great Keith Emerson's masterpieces.
A true genius work.
Bravo, Massimo. There seems to be a revival interest in the progressive rock music of the 1970s. Thank you for your astonishing contribution.

Breathtaking ! You have captured the essence of Emerson !
My God, everything you play is off the charts. Long live Massimo, Emerson, Banks 👏👏👏👏💯♥️♥️♥️👌😅😅❤️
This song has always been one of my favorite ELP song! I love how you played it all on piano!
A masterpiece perfectly played. Pure genius. Pure joy. Life is good.
Keith and Greg are looking down telling you to go find Carl and join his band.... just amazing.
All I can say is...wow! Always loved this piece by Emerson. You did this justice and beyond. Watched this 5 times already. Wish I could play piano this good.
Hearing this on just piano, I can see how this connects to Emerson's piano concerto no 1. Great performance Massimo!

R.I.P dear Keith Emerson! Thanks for this fantastic peace of musik, Massimo!
This song inspires me to continue playing piano for almost a decade now. Well played!

Bloody geniuses (Massimo and Keith)! Glad I lived to see them both.
Un brano stratosferico. E una interpretazione straordinaria. Grande Keith Emerson e grande Massimo Bucci.
