finally something that equally focuses on both chuuya's and dazai's past. even though they are important pieces of each others life their lives are not just centric on each other. they both have their own past, their own griefs their own ways to combat things but still place trust in each other. i've seen so many videos that make chuuya all about dazai but he's alot more that soukoku i just love this i appreciate u so much for this

I'd just like to point out that Stormbringer confirms that Chuuya is human! The clone died in his arms.
I haven't read Stormbringer yet and only knew about the things that I found out by researching. But like I did in the video, I never told them or tried to tell them that Chuuya was 100% the clone, since I saw a lot of things that proved that Chuuya is human. Due to the things I made Ranpo say, I also implied that Chuuya was most likely human. But thank you for sharing that information

Other than the AMAZING balance between Dazai and Chuuya reaction, I loved how you didn't make Ranpo IMMEDIATELY know everything about Chuuya, who at this point has not met, like he'd know some things like he's a executive but the parts about his past he won't know that before hand like some make Ranpo, he knows stuff based on observation, so if he hasn't observed it how does he know? I love how you did that
I love that too, most of the time people just use Ranpo as a convenient info dump even when it makes literally no sense, and they only do it because they aren't good enough to include him in the video any other way
just a reminder, Yosano wasn't in the PM back then, she went to a war where she met Mori.
She also calls it the port mafia in season 4 when she learns about the switch so your both right that she calls it port mafia but it was war
ive not finished the video yet but i do wanna say, yosano was NEVER apart of the PM she worked w mori at the military to heal the soliders, just because she worked w mori doesnt mean she was apart of port mafia.
Since there's a hefty time skip in her backstory before Ranpo and Fukuzawa rescue her, people probably assume that she was involved with the port mafia after the war, even though she was just in a facility

I said "probably" in reference to what people assume (that Yosano was part of the mafia), not in reference to the actual events, I'm quite certain of those. After the soldier she was close with committed, Yosano lost it and was arrested for planting a bomb on an aircraft carrier, effectively removing her from Mori's grasp. He only found her in an isolation facility three years later, where Mori and Fukuzawa fought over who would be allowed to leave with her, as Fukuzawa disapproved of Mori's use of children. So, no, although Mori wished for her to become a mafioso, she never did. I hope that helped clear some things up.

yes but AFTER he became the head of PM she was PART of the PM she was invoIved in it because after the war mori took he with him and thats why fukuzawa broke the peace treaty with the PM but yosano wasnt an officiaI member yet

Hehe, the reaction is not bad, it's also 30 minutes, but there are a couple of inconsistencies. Firstly, as you have already been told, Yosano was not in the mafia. She knows Mori because she was in the war with him. Secondly, Kunikida's distrust of Dazai is strangely shown. It would be fine if they were taken from the time when Dazai first joined them, but no. But the moment Atsushi joined the ADA, Dazai had been there for 2 years. And during this time, Kunikida has learned to trust Dazai 100%. Yes, he still doesn't know Dazai's past work, but that doesn't stop him from being sure that dazai is on their side.
Otherwise, the reaction is very good, I hope for future reactions and correction of these errors. I hope my comment didn't offend you💗

@@ThatEnbyAkutagawaKinnie but two years is still a pretty long time considering the ADA was created 12 years ago, at which point the only members were ranpo and fukuzawa, with yosano joining a year later (as she joins at 14 and is one year younger than ranpo) and kunikida joining presumably shortly after. tanizaki is the one considered a newcomer when atsushi is introduced and kenji joined only a month before atsushi. as they never canonically act suspicious to either of them, it is weird to assume that they would still be suspicious towards dazai, who is the fifth longest working member there (not counting Katai, as he joined presumably at around the same time as Kunikida (cca 10 years ago as this is the time for which they've known eachother) but we dont know when he quit)

Hello! First of all, I want to say that this is a nice reaction!! You’ve done an amazing job balancing the videos regarding both Dazai and Chuuya, which I usually don’t see that often in these type of reaction videos :D
I do want to point out one thing that the other people in the comments haven’t mentioned yet. Dazai actually joined the PM at age 15. It’s mentioned in the 15 light novel and in the first episode of season 3. I believe at age 14 is when he witnessed the murder of the old boss, but he wasn’t affiliated with the mafia at that time. Hope that clears some misunderstandings. Great video though!! ^_^

For the first time, I see the balance between Dazai and Chuuya at the same. Usually most people focus only on Dazai, because there’s a lot more about him. I really liked the characters’ reactions, they are as similar as possible to the canon!Thank you for putting my 2 videos on this reaction you’re amazing❤️
I love Dazai's and Chuuya's relationship. It's always sad to me when people don't show how special it really is and also the fact that people often neglect Chuuya's screentime, he's such a great character, that's why I tried to give both of them the same screentime, so none would be more there than the other.

2. The theory that Yosano joined the PM hasn't been confirmed yet.
3. Dazai joined the ADA at the age of 20 (before Atsushi 2 years). I don't think he's a newbie.
4. Dazai officially joined the PM at the age of 15, he said to Chuuya (in the Skk vs Rimbaud battle) that he suddenly doesn't want to be dead yet, and he wants to join the PM to find a reason to live in a place where death happens every day. It turns out he already got bored a year later (Stormbringer).
5. STORMBRINGER SPOILER: Chuuya can't figure out if he is a clone or a human because Chuuya used Corruption (the first time, in the final battle in Stormbringer). According to Dazai's explanation (which I don't remember clearly), when he was forced to do the experiment, the original Chuuya might have had his memory erased. And if a scientist finds traces of memory deletion, it will prove that Chuuya is a human. However, if Corruption is activated, that trace will somehow be erased and Chuuya will forever be unable to know what he is (Verlaine also falls into the same situation, that's why he has been torn about this issue for many years). This can be considered the only method to determine Chuuya's identity. All other methods are not 100% certain, so the issue of whether Chuuya is a human or a clone is an open ending, the author leaves it to the reader to think.

Sorry if I’m misunderstanding, but are the agency and atsushi from different timelines or something? In the beginning they were talking like Atsushi had been there for longer than Dazai, and that dazai is new, but Dazai recruited Atsushi into the agency and had been there for two years before Atsushi
I simply love how their pasts are somehow similar❤
It's like they are made to be together in the end
The parallels between the death of their love ones, their similar thinking, their suffering, the way dazai discreetly cares about chuuya since their teenage years, the way both of them have trouble in showing their feelings... even though an eventual relationship between them is nearly impossible since their personalities are incompatible and they simply can't stand each other.
I still ship them though, Dazai clearly had a ruthless crush on Chuuya during his teenage years that became somehow an obsession that shows in Stormbringer.
Both of then are precious jewels, they grew up together as partners and teenagers.
There's a reason Dazai found himself deeply interested in Chuuya since the very beginning: if anything he was the first person that was not afraid of him; but he also managed to surprise him and fool him with the arahabaki case.
After the stormbringer events I think Dazai distanced himself from Chuuya, mainly because he knew how that episode changed his partner; but I don't think he simply stopped to care, since he told oda about his partner (he really adores him).
Let's be real, Chuuya didn't cried like a baby when Dazai left.
He sure was upset but I am sure he understood Dazai's reasons.
Dazai and Chuuya are doomed and knowing that, they keep protecting and trusting each other like no one eles does (if you think about their relationship, you can see they clearly have feelings for each other, either romantic or platonic).
I find hard to see them as brothers though but I also can't see them being together as couple ( it would be catastrophic❤)
I really can't understand why people keep mischaracterizing their beautifully made bound for the sake their ships.
They are so complex, that's what makes their relationship interesting.
They aren't friends or lovers, so...why would they trust each other so deeply?
Their bound goes behond any relationship in the show and they barely interact.
It's so beautiful that makes me want to cry.
But, remember opposites attract.

I enjoyed the video but Yosano wasn't in the port mafia, yes she was with mori but not as a mafia member. And I dont really like reaction to the corruption. As far as I know, as especially if they didn't even know dazai was in mafia, they saw corruption for the first time. For us maybe it doesn't look too bad, but we know that in that world it looks sacy asf, so I dont think they would be so chill about it when its a god taking control over human and destroying everything. And I think there should be more about oda. He was here but I just would like to see him more. Its just my feelings about that tho
