It wont be heavy- the gearbox isnt used, and 2 stroke dirt bike engines are very powerful for their size- much more so than regular chainsaws.

@@garfield1245actually no, on the upward cut you are using the top of the chain which is going away from you, so it's pushing the saw back at you.

Yup, my husband would have the seat leaned most of the way back, lit Marlboro Red barely held between his lips, mumbling "Now, where the f**k is it?", searching through junk in the back seat for something he obviously didn't need right at that second, all while driving over the speed limit, with his damned knee. It used to scare the s**t out of me, but I wasn't going to distract him anymore than he already was. Still can't believe that nothing bad never happened.

@@richardtutor8331no, a “dull” chain wouldn’t cut that Fast. The type chain and its sharpness makes a huge difference in cutting speed. Many loggers have demonstrated that.
@Mote78 I know I commented on the wrong one . I'm an old retired logger .the chain has to be fild the right way for the wood that you are about to cut . Me, I prefer a more pointed tip if I'm going to be cutting soft wood and a slighter, less pointed one if I'm going to be cutting hard wood so that the cutting edge last longer

I remember seeing a video not too long ago two huge dudes lifting a V8 chainsaw
They have made a few of them lol. One uses a smaller block V8, one uses an LS engine and there are a few others. They range from stationary to one has a cart that you can move around and tilt to cut and I believe they made a small enough one that a couple people held up.

This guy didn't create this design, it's nothing new. They've been running these setups at log-smith competitions since the 80's
I built my own, except mine is electric, so the chain had a lot more torch. It runs on modified batteries, instead of one, it has four in one with capacitors.
Way safer and smarter.

Stihl saws come with a two stroke and. It cuts plenty fast. Start very easy and is very reliable

Stihl aren’t reliable. The only thing you can rely on with them is blowing out your arm from starting them.
Most other brands will start in 3 to 4 pulls.
Stihl are designed not to start unless you pull them between 10 to 20 times.
And once they are hot they still take multiple pulls. When it should only be 1 pull.
