Designed by Yoshihisha Maitani - famed creator of the Olympus Pen and OM-1 cameras and later also the Mju line - the Olympus XA was launched in 1979. The little camera was widely regarded as an impressive achievement. At the time few compacts were truly compact.

You can still pick up a mint mju 1 for less than £100 here, but the mju 2 is more like £300. I've had both, and prefer the mju 1!

You know, goodwill for me is fair but volunteers of American has scored me a bunch. These days EBAY late nights early mornings. Take your time and keep your eyes out for cool stuff. Don’t waste your time in the afternoons as the pickers will have destroyed your chances in the thrift stores. Get there when it opens
