I agree, these women have made most of us who we are today. I've been brought up by a single parent (mother) and just living to see all the struggles and hustles she had to go through to make sure i don't sleep on an empty stomach, note I've said "I" and not WE, she'd rather sleep hungry, but ensure i've grabbed something to eat, and for that, i salute her. Mad respect to all those women who are playing both the mother and the father figure, those who chose to keep the pregnancy and not terminate it.... You have a special place in heaven
That's so cool for Mkurugenzi to appreciate the ladies, our mothers and all the ladies have always played a major role in our lives in one way or another.
The domestic violence incident really got you, somehow your mood changed after talking about it.
But I can relate it with my story.
Just like you,my Mom is my pillar.
I noticed that too, I also experienced the same when I was young and I remember at some point I was so mad at my small brothers because I am a firstborn I didn't understand why them as the boys in the home couldn't do anything to protect our mum. One day I had, had enough and I picked a knife, on that day I was ready to put an end to the whole shit and I didn't care what my consequences would be, but I believed my mum will be safe. Thank God my aunties were around they held me and talked me out of it. Domestic violence really messes with the children I pray everyday that more parents can choose to walk away and save the children from the traumatic experience. Now as an adult and as parent I know for sure I could never stay in an abusive relationship, I wouldn't want my child to go through what I did. Second time watching this episode and it still gets to me, when he talks about the incident.
Something that keeps me locked in this channel apart from your amazing, overboard, story telling ability/talent is that behind every story there's always something to learn. Thank you sana Abeli. God bless you sana🔛🔝
