My dad teaches me how to make a highly underrated vietnamese noodle soup dish. Everyone always talks about Pho, but Bun Rieu is a true star. This soup is made with LUMP crab meat and simmered in a delicious pork bone broth with juicy tomatoes. Also my dad will provide you with some viet history lesson for your pleasure. Hope you enjoy!
The crab paste used in the video is: Por Kwon's GIA VI NAU BUN RIEU (Mince Prawn in Spices). You can find it inexpensively in the Vietnamese grocery store. If you are unable to find it, Amazon does sell it (but not as cheap) here:
