After many years of observing meteor shower Perseid from my balcony, I have finally decided this is the year I'll go to the mountain and see this natural phenomenon away from light pollution. However, not even in my wildest dreams could I imagine the sights I'd see on this trip. First, Haris and I found a great place for the camp, it was sheltered from the wind and near two water sources. Second, we even managed to see the sunset, which was unexpected since we didn't leave Sarajevo before 17:30. We have set up the camp quickly and enjoyed the view while we waited for the night and the beginning of the cosmic show. And it did not disappoint, we saw at least ten shooting stars in the first hour, that went seemingly above our heads leaving us speechless. That wasn't the only thing we saw, as we have seen the Milky way and even recognized a few constellations. We were awake at down determined to start this day the best way possible, enjoying the sunrise. After that we drove to Tusilo from where we begun our climb towards the Drstva peak, from there to the Vito peak and later to shelter Zoran Simic.

How amazing that you got to see the Perseid shower!! And then to wake up and see that amazing sunrise! And then 5 different peaks! Woah! What a trip and a memory you'll always have! Was it cold up there sleeping overnight?
Not really, nights are still rather warm here and even up there it wasn't below 15 degrees Celsius, but it was awesome seeing the night sky, never have I seen something like it, so many stars and the meteor shower 😍😍😍 i could spend my life just looking up at the sky 😁

Svaka cast za video. Par pitanja. Da li ste nosili svu vodu sa sobom ili se voda moze naci usput? Drugo pitanje, zasto niste spavali u bivaku?
Hvala 🤗🤗 Nosili smo vodu sa sobom, ali smo kampirali u blizini dva izvora vode, tako da nam vode nije falilo...što se tiče vode usput bolje je ponijeti nego se pouzdati u usputne izvore, jer često presuše, posebno u ljetnom periodu...otišli smo poslije posla na kampiranje i ne bismo stigli prije mraka do bivaka, iako je to bio prvobitan plan, stoga smo se smjestili na najbolje mjesto koje smo usput mogli naći...nadam se da sam bio od pomoći ☺️

Moze li se autom blizu stici do ovog mjesta i kako ukucati na google map da pronadjem ovo...
Ako mislite na mjesto gdje smo kampirali, naravno da može, mi smo autoparkirali oko 5 metara niže od šatora, a što se tiče google maps, nije upisano na mapi, ali možete ukucati nekropola stećaka police i otprilike 2 kilometra prije tog odredišta vidjet ćete dvije česme i tu smo mi kampirali, naravno ovo se odnosi na put iz pravca Sarajeva ☺
