    Excellent video!! Very helpful. Installed the LX-Light 5.75 Inch 80W LED Headlight for Motorcycles that you used. Getting the bulb in the housing with all that wiring was the most difficult part. Ended up pulling as much of the wiring out of the back of the housing and get it to fit. If you disconnect the headlight bracket while trying to get the bulb installed, wrap the bracket in a rag so you don't scratch anything.

    They make some really nice plug and play bulbs I’ve been using in my last moped, car older motorcycle and current motorcycle by auxito. Just saying this seem like a lot to do when a drop in bulb is ten times easier and probably more effective. Just my two cents man. Great video otherwise.

    • @T3CHNOskillz
      @T3CHNOskillz  Před rokem

      I’ve done drop in bulbs before on my other bikes and they are good replacements compared to stock. I feel like the aftermarket assembles have better light output. There was a little bit of fabrication with this assembly but wasn’t to bad all together. I didn’t get a chance to add in a section of the light output of this headlight at night because it was down pouring when I made the video. But compared to stock it’s literally night and day

  • @jonvarga5569
    @jonvarga5569 Před 3 měsíci

    I got an HID bulb for mine and it comes with a beefy ballast. Once everything is buttoned back up getting the screws in is VERY difficult and the headlight pokes out quite a bit because there's just no room for everything in the bucket. Im looking to remove some of the clips or something in there so there is more space. Do you know if there is a bracket/retaining ring that is deeper? Or maybe a deeper bucket? I'm not sure what else to do

    • @T3CHNOskillz
      @T3CHNOskillz  Před 3 měsíci

      The only things within the bucket are the headlight assembly itself and 2 little flexible clips to hold wires back. I removed the two flex clip things to give me every bit of space I could get. You could potentially get a larger bucket but I don’t know if the brackets would line up to mount on the bike without some form of fabrication

    • @jonvarga5569
      @jonvarga5569 Před 3 měsíci

      @@T3CHNOskillz
      I removed those clips already and it's still too tight to sit comfortably. I made it fit temporarily using my old friend brute force, but I'm not completely satisfied with how it looks.
      My potential solutions are:
      1. Find a deeper rim (33101-MFE-A41)
      2. Find a deeper headlight bucket (61301-MFE-A41)
      3. Relocate the ballast
      3a. Not sure how to do this without modifying the bucket to allow the ballast to exit the bucket from the back or bottom. The exit hole in the back isn't big enough to get it out.
      3b. Maybe there is a headlight extension cable somewhere that would allow me to relocate the ballast under the tank somewhere?
      4. Figure out how to relocate most (if not all) of the other wire connectors inside the bucket somewhere else (this would be the start circuit, the control circuit for the turn signals etc. and would be very extensive)

    • @T3CHNOskillz
      @T3CHNOskillz  Před 3 měsíci

      @@jonvarga5569 I’d definitely see if there is a larger bucket that will work before trying to relocate wires. I had an aftermarket video before where the wires were coiled up behind the light but it looked like shit. It’d be best to get them all within a bucket somehow
