I feel like this SCP is the ship of a crew that died during WW1. The men in the suits are undead and are wanting to help people, but they themselves aren't aware they died, kinda like that memory of dying has been erased. They are trying to get people to safety, without realizing that they are dragging them to their deaths, because that panicking really looks sincere . I don't know about the blood though, maybe that's their actual blood? I have no idea why it would be in the air. edit: didn't watch the video completely, but i still think my theory could have been cool
It makes sense except they did find that Sal went in and the next time it appeared he came out as an scp 1861b that they recognized to be Sal. Maybe it's origin was a normal submarine that sunk. But are they zombies? Where did the blood and csf come from ?

It's neat to see the Foundation and its MTFs actually protect people. Granted, I wouldn't have been so ready to wipe their memories (think about it; the mist and the rain were the only real anomalies. The sub, and the guys in suits were weird, maybe, but they didn't really do anything that the average Joe wouldn't need to be wiped for).
It's to stop people correlating the incidents. Remember, this happens every so often, eventually more and more people will know about it. And wonder why an old submarine that's been out of production for a hundred years is appearing in places where there is water kidnapping people, from Britain to America and every else. There's something called water zones for a reason.

The diving suit is also anomalous, once you go into the submarine you are permanently underwater until the next event where it goes back to earth to pick up more people. No suit you bring can last you for the length of time you'll be underwater once you enter

A little, the messages are different though. The Mist says to never give into despair while SCP 1861 says to be skeptical of peoples’ good intentions. People can hurt you even when they think they are helping you. This is my favorite SCP though

Interesting. This crew is basically a feeding train for this "Watcher of eyes and biter of teeth". What I believe is happening here is the following: In a parallel universe resides some sort of water being requiring sustenance. Now on a regular basis he would send this crew, unbeknownst to any but the captain, on missions where this "catastrophic" blood rain is happening, "rescuing" all the civilians so that this water being may feed on them, hence why they are dissolved when the water rises in the submarine. Putting on the suit wont help, you will still be dissolved, but the creature grants you seemingly eternal life + lets you retain who you are in exchange for your entire body. It takes your teeth and eyes and gives you a new pair. Why? Who knows. The reason you turn into a puddle is, that you are a puddle the moment you enter the sub. Now how it came to this in the first place may be explained by a WW1 sub malfunction ing, meaning water flows into the sub. The crew puts on diving gear but for some anomalous reasons is teleported to this new realm where this "Watcher of eyes and biter of teeth" resides. The crew accepted their fate and they snatched humans from land ever after. I also believe this water being coming into existence between the first wirld war when enormous amounts of blood have spilled in the water, awakening it. Its genius in a way... I really like this SCP.

4. A raccoon that would make anyone dance and love to dance. Regardless of anything, any race. From pig, dog, human, even an anomaly creature (a SCP).

They didn't mention that some of the suits are actually animals. They where stuffed there to "save them" but now move like humans, while still doing their normal animal sounds.

Interesting. This crew is basically a feeding train for this "Watcher of eyes and biter of teeth". What I believe is happening here is the following:
In a parallel universe resides some sort of water being requiring sustenance. Now on a regular basis he would send this crew, unbeknownst to any but the captain, on missions where this "catastrophic" blood rain is happening, "rescuing" all the civilians so that this water being may feed on them, hence why they are dissolved when the water rises in the submarine. Putting on the suit wont help, you will still be dissolved, but the creature grants you seemingly eternal life + lets you retain who you are in exchange for your entire body. It takes your teeth and eyes and gives you a new pair. Why? Who knows. The reason you turn into a puddle is, that you are a puddle the moment you enter the sub.
Now how it came to this in the first place may be explained by a WW1 sub malfunction ing, meaning water flows into the sub. The crew puts on diving gear but for some anomalous reasons is teleported to this new realm where this "Watcher of eyes and biter of teeth" resides. The crew accepted their fate and they snatched humans from land ever after. I also believe this water being coming into existence between the first wirld war when enormous amounts of blood have spilled in the water, awakening it.
Its genius in a way... I really like this SCP.
