Hahha yeah it was fun. I definitely recommend but if you do the same front lift as I did I’d recommend putting a few weights. I didn’t have much issues being it didn’t have traction in the snow much. But my buddy did the same thing recently and flipped it up bad lol
I've heard some mud mower guys will fill their front tires with windsheild wiper fluid to add weight to the front axle much like farmers do with rear tires to add traction when cultivating a field. Thanks for the tip
i used to have a youtube channel back in the day. about the size of yours now. but walked away. no matter what i highly encourage you to keep posting and to find great content that needs put out there just like this. youll blow up and make some serious money!
I ran that set up for a couple months and the steering never was a problem! My plan was to redo the steering if I kept it but as Ong as you were aware it was mint
Your making a good sturdy Job doing every thing perfect. but, Why all the extra hard welding ? why not just drill 4 holes in the rim and screw the other rim on with the larger treaded tires? never tried it but it does make sense maybe not but seems too? just a thought and wondering if it would work with out breaking and stay lined up.
Thanks! Totally agree and definitely think you could just bolt instead of welding. But I have the access to a welder and it only took a few minutes to weld up. I’m sure you could just bolt it up and it work fine aswell!
Hey Owen I just got a crafts man lts 1500 and am going to be doing a bike with my son and could really use some pointers if u could give me any it would be extremely helpful thank man
That sweet! Any questions just lmk but it all depends on what you guys are going for. Mud or track lol you can cheap out on most things just cus yk its a lawn mower it’s a lot cheaper and easier but them crafmsans are super easy to work on a mod. Get a good belt tho. And if you pulley swap it don’t be surprised if you go threw a few haha
If anyone is looking for an excuse to tell your friends for doing this, just say “the grass gets really thick, so i just have to cut it higher”. I gotchu bro 🗿👍
That thing looks sick!! Very well put together video and you don't have to explain why you did it... I wish I had some snow and ice to play in...
Thank you! Huge fan of your work. The snow is fun but it’ll get on your nerves sometimes lol!
@@bigowen love hearing that!! What state are you in that get that much snow? I am sure I would get sick of the cold, but would be fun till then…
@@chud327 lol pretty much! I’m up in New Hampshire. Sometimes I wish I was up further in like Canada or sumin 😂
Dude that looks so badass! You've essentially done a shackle lift but on a lawnmower axle. Once I get my own mud mower I'll definitely copy that!

@@jesusestrada5543 makes sense. I know people, like you mentioned, add to get more traction but that’s not a bad idea for the front

Thank you sir! I try my hardest to stay consistent
Thanks man I didn't know much about lifts before this video but this helped me a lot.
Glad to hear!!
How do the Big Tires Not Rub On The Spindle? Because I’m gonna put same big tires on front but they will rub on spindle.
Mine just barely cleared it all depends on how wide and what mower
@@bigowen ya mine is Like a Yt4000 basically with soon to be 20x10x8 on the front
@@LaneProductions327 and they rub? They should fit if only 10s
@@bigowen they will sadly but I think I found a way
Will the steering hold up to the big tires??? It’s weak system as it is
