I am not from SA - I do think that your attitude and your comment is far more arrogant. The way Miss Yende says that the whole of South Africa was buzzing with her success does not come across as arrogant at all but rather humble and happy.
I am so so ultimately proud!!!! There is no place like South Africa.. in all it's glory, from our Nguni roots, the San and their Wisdom, the Afrikaner pioneers... the whole gammut of who we are... Mzantsi for sure!

She is singing here with Juan Diego Florez, the best Bel canto tenor of this century. &, according to Placido Domingo & Luciano Pavarotti, the best ever. I'm so glad she is trying to give children musical opportunities. That is what Florez did in Peru, with immense success. Pretty & Juan Diego just sang in Ricciardo e Zoraide at the Rossini Opera Festival in Pesaro, Italy. South Africa needs people like her to inspire them. Bravo Pretty.

It is a oneness ~ a common humanity that a person is a person... because of others. With everything the WHOLE country South Africa has been through in the last 150 years....they have overcome so much & feel they are ALL in this together ( much bigger than just one city)...in rising above.💞
We ALL need to celebrate this woman hearing a British Airways commercial as a child & making her dream of singing that way come true. 🌈
