I’m definitely going to try these! My baby girl is almost 4 months old and she absolutely hates tummy time! Most of the time she refuses to do anything during tummy time. She puts her arms at her sides and lays face down. And when she’s in that mood I can’t change her mind. Sometimes she cries, when I see it coming I pick her up and wait until she’s over it and put her back down.

Thank you so much for this. My seven month old baby HATES tummy time, crying as soon as I put her down. While she can grab and reach toys, she has little to no trunk control and I worry that she's falling behind developmentally. I'll definitely try these ideas and hope there's an improvement. At the moment, she does 'airplane arms' which looks so scary, like her arms are broken or something. It's awful. Thanks again.

This video is gold! You are my new favorite channel and thank you I subscribed! I sent this to my children's dad, and I'm going to dig deeper and see if you have any videos about toddlers because I do have a 4-year-old!

My baby just turned 5 months old and she hates tummy time no matter what I do. Immediately after I put her down she begins to cry. She still doesn’t realize she has hands/ arms so she isn’t reaching and grabbing yet. I’m afraid she’s falling behind on her developmental milestones.

Thank you four your video, Rachel! Would you recommend these tummy time activities for newborns? Dumb question, but I’m 38 weeks pregnant with my 1st baby and I have no idea 😅

Usually it’s 1 week. Make sure you check with your doctor though, sometimes the doctor will say 2-3 weeks for premature or full term babies until the stump falls off as the clamp may be uncomfortable for some babies. Hopes this helps!
