Altair is so stealthy that people dont even notice the guy drowning
Even tho the water looks more realistic in later games, the fact that characters in 3, bf, and rouge begin to struggle to run as they get in makes it feel more realistic
Nobody talks about Ezio in AC Brotherhood breaking his jaw before falling into the water.
Water phsyics in Assasins Creed games
Altair : Ah shit here we drown again.
Altair: trains from birth his whole life to be a master assassin
Everyone: shut up and drown now, so i can make a youtube short 😂
Well actually the reason why Altair can't swim is that he is wearing a breastplate underneath his armor.
Altair and John Marston need to have a sit-down talk behind the scenes.
Shay, Edward and Connor : *Struggling to walk inside the water*
Arno : Haha Flash go brrr
Arno should give up being an assassin and start curing the sick and doing miracles. My man is Jesus over here
@Wingardium Elviossa Yeah.. hard to believe a man that can topple armies by his self, and has to climb up buildings tirelessly, doesn't have enough space in his lungs to hold his breath for like 4 seconds..
@@BookIX Well Ubisoft explained it in lore as a glitch in the animus but we all know it was just laziness and not wanting to do swimming animations :)
Black Flag while not having all the fancy ripples when you run through the water, definitely has the best water design.
Origins and Odyssey have a far superior design the only reason people believe this is bc of color pallet reasons
@i.theworstguys298 obviously those 2 games are going to have better mechanics and graphical movements, because those games use new technology/graphics. Black flag imo is still better given the fact that you actually stumble around when running in the water. Black flag was so ahead of its time. Ever since syndicate released, all the AC games turned to crap. Origins, odyssey, and especially Valhalla, all don't even feel like AC games anymore. Now it's just an open world with some charcter you play as. There's barely any assassins or talk of the association. It's juts "grab axe and kill"
@@fatalcookie1619 origins is pretty good even though it's different
@@MassiveMiniGaming out of the newer trio, origins is the most unique imo. I just miss that old AC charm with the cloaks and hidden blades. And now I feel as tho they don't talk much about the actual assassins guild.
I remember accidentally falling into water in AC2 and thinking, "Ah crap, I'm going to drown just like in AC1, better brace myse- oh he can swim"
Jacob: “sorry ladies, the hat stays on in the water”
there’s a newspaper on the train hideout if you look out for it near where evie sits that has an ad for hat clips lol
It's cannon that altiar could swim but it was a glitch in the animus that caused him to drown, Lucy had notes about fixing the bug. It's also funny how they address it in assassin's creed 2 when Rebecca says they had no ambition
To be fair, it wasn't Abstergo the one fixing it. We technically saw them fixing it wirh Black Flag
It's actually just lazy programming... It's hard to program swimming devs say
Love how the Kenways are like "ew ahh water"
Aight sorry don’t know much about AC, i just finished black flag my first AC game, so WHAT DO YOU MEAN THE KENWAYS??? Are there more???
@@renogameplay7191 Yes, Black Flag is part of a trilogy of sorts.
ACIV: Black Flag is the first one, followed by AC: Rogue and AC III
Black Flag looked beautiful
Altair be on that Vice City drip with how he drowning💅
Altair never swam in his missions, assassins need to learn how to stealth in water to be more stealthy, but he never had to swim in his missions, SO STOP MOCKING HIM
When Altair couldn’t swim literally made me cry I found it game changing when ezio was taught how to swim by the order. Very nice of them
altair can swim but the animus wasnt developed enough to make the mf swim
Altair never swam in his missions, assassins need to learn how to stealth in water to be more stealthy, but he never had to swim in his missions. Synchronization bar says everything
@@ezekiellexington5405he didn’t swim in 1191 giving the animus no reference for swimming
What i find weird with AC1 is they took the time to make a drowning animation but didn’t want to make swimming animations
Animus glitch and the fact a majority didn't know how to swim during this age makes it more than obvious Altair couldn't swim tho
@@sandwich3989 by that logic characters from Origins, Odyssey and Valhalla shouldn't be able to swim.
@@therudestar
Origins, yes.
But the Ancient Greeks and Vikings spent way too much time around water to not know how to swim.
@@therudestar Its not like Altäir spent much time in oceans let alone water anyway. Egyptians, Spartans and Vikings spent loads of time in water, no shit they'd know how to swim. And like I said, a lot of people from that period weren't and didn't spend time swimming, I never said 𝘢𝘭𝘭 of them.
@@therudestar actually around the time of origins and Odyssey is when people started swimming more regularly.
You know by the way you can actually dive into the water as Ezio by pressing the jump button mid-air when falling into water instead of just falling into it. Kinda hurt not to see Ezio gracefully dive into the water
to be fair he still wouldve knocked himself clean out at the end of brotherhood clip regardless lol
So I guess Ezio ain't that great(Altair is so underrated, bro beat a whole army without breaking a sweat while Ezio actually got wounded)(Altair: Synchronization bar, Ezio: Health bar)
Can we just all agree that black flag has the best looking water😂
Ezio learned to swim for his future children. 🫡
What I always loved about Odyssey is the sea. Specially those water hitting the shore
👌
Watching Edward, Connor, and Shay awkwardly waddling through the water is hilarious to me
It's a shame the Americas trilogy was the only one of the games to have proper animations for running in water.
Swimming in the River Thames during the Industrial Revolution is one of the worst idea’s possible. Probably smells like death.
I was always pleased with origins, even though Bayek doesn’t struggle to run, I feel it looks the best and sounds the best
Altaïr and Tommy Vercetti need to have a couple's counseling about their damn phobia of water.
Today we learned the water physics has not changed once in the last 15 years of this franchise. Remarkable
gotta love it when peoples nostalgia clouds their judgment
I love how people are comparing the Caribbean sea to a British bog and calling it a graphical down grade no 2 locations are gonna look the same but its like sure lets look stupid by bagging on Valhalla even more 😂
@@Assassin-ys5vw it looks like shit tho, look at the animation and effects, A JOKE
@@talpatv512 it looks like what muddy British bog is supposed to look like dirty and muddy what exactly where you expecting 🤷
@@Assassin-ys5vw but valhalla is still a piece of garbage, kid. wait, are u from australia?
man ac3 has changed a lot of things in the series. Sadly people forget those things and only focus on the bad things
Roller Coaster Tycoon and the original Assassin's Creed have that in common.
Odyssey & black water looks beautiful ❤️🔥
But unity is smooth always ❤
Let's talk about the physics of Jacob's hat.
Omg I forgot altair can't swim I'm dying
Altair: nothing is water everything is desynchronization
Water in Odyssey is so beautiful. Looks vibrant yet not too saturated.
RIP ALTAIR LOL
Poor Altair was the only assassin that couldn't swim 💀🤣🤣🤣
Altair never swam in his missions, assassins need to learn how to stealth in water to be more stealthy, but he never had to swim in his missions, SO STOP MOCKING HIM UNLESS YOU GUYS ARE IDIOTS
THE GODDAMN ANIMUS JUST CAN'T ANIMATE SWIMMING YET MFs
I still can't believe how good the animation blend is when running in water in ac3 and 4. There's at least 3 different animations for both walking and running and they flow perfectly. This also happens when running on land, the movements are so fluid
The water in black flag looks TASTY
The original Assasins Creed will always be my favorite. If you replay it, you'll see just how much of the storyline they already had planned in the first game. And those graphics back then were amazing. I played it on the Xbox 360 when it first came out.
Ah yes, Altaïr's weakness: Water
Altair never swam in his missions, assassins need to learn how to stealth in water to be more stealthy, but he never had to swim in his missions, SO STOP MOCKING HIM UNLESS YOU GUYS ARE IDIOTS
Animus was not yet made for swimming due to lack of technology idiot
The Frye twins must have had the strongest immune systems that swimming the Thames was nothing for them.
i like that the top hat doesnt even budge during a leap of faith in ac syndicate
Tbh most people In dark ages couldn’t swim😊
But a master assassin would have been trained be an assassin on land and in water
Damn unity came in and said fuck your old ass water graphics 😂
I think it’s mostly because it is a river water and not a sea one, which has less density due to the salt percentage, but still hahaha. Running through water be like: that’s what we did in the French Revolution
Altaïr drowns*
Pepole:
Did you hear something?
Nah....
Assassin's creed Black Flag is just pure gold in all scenarios
In Assassins Creed there is very less Water so you do NOT need to swim! 😉
Fact: Due to Animus glitch, Altair was prevented to swim but its canonically that he is a good swimmer
the way it walks in 3 is more realistic, hope they bring this back
Ezio just ate a dock to the chin like a man. the assassins arent a joke
Syndicate still holds up as I’m currently playing it. Interestingly it’s similar to origins which came out 2 years later, just more developed
Origins had one of the best waters in every ac
Odyssey has the best water. It’s so beautiful!
The game set in the desert has the best water
How to beat Ezio and Altair in a Assassin fight:
Throw em into water
And they swim, they can swim and it's just lack of technology. It's unbelievable just how dumb you are to say this.
Ac 4 feels totally realistic , Ubisoft is crazy nowadays
They really need to make a sequel!
Edward running through water jack Sparrow style
How does it feel to be the only Assassin _ever_ who couldn't swim, Altair?
Altair's reply: I can swim you piece of shit, every assassin must know how to stealth on land and water
(Me: SABLE BRANWEN YOU BETTER SHUT YOUR GODDAMN MOUTH)
Jumping into any body of water with that much heavy clothing and gear on is the real leap of faith.
It's crazy how it went from bad to good to bad again amazing job AC 🎉
I'm more impressed with Jacob's hat...I think it's one of the precursor artefact, it'll always on his head no matter what he does unless he removed it himself
Imagine jumping in the water as your ancestor only to realise they never knew how to swim 😅
I like the idea of one of the most deadly characters in gaming not being able to swim, making it seem like he is human after all
I almost gaged when I saw what Jacob was jumping into.
Water in Valhalla can look incredible in certain areas, then not so much in others. Ubi did a goodjob overall with water in the RPG era of AC
I like how the npcs don't even care to look towards a fancy dressed guy casually jumping in the water right beside them. Either they have inhuman dedication towards their work, or the devs weren't just paid enough
That spiderman 2 water be lookin like the 360 Assassins creed games
Moral of the story, assassins went from not knowing how to swing, to learning how to swim, to running in water
Some of the best water physics for its time I would argue the best
Men running around in water , living their childhood again.
The water stomping is so felt
Black flag really blew my mind when it came out
For a game revolving around the ocean, the Black Flag clip was criminally short
It's like they're running through mist. Wold have liked it they articulated the movements like there is heavy resistance
Ah yes, Altair the master assassin that also happens to be water soluble.
Honestly impressed how good the first game still looks, even if the drowning physics were a tad over sensitive.
Odyssey water is a thing of beauty. Playing it again on PS5 and it’s so nice. Wonderful game.
I am kind of impressed on how good the water looks on the 360/PS3 era games
Love how jacob has his hat on after diving into water
Ah, yes my favorite type of water physics
*Drowning*
I have a soft spot for old games that drown you the instant you touch water
AC3 still holding up on so many ways, glad to find out this is one of them
Kudos for the AC1 devs. Even though altair can't swim, they still add the water effect to the game
Fun fact: If you walk slow entering in the water with Connor, he will slowly put his fingers on the water, as if he wanted to feel it, I don't know if the other protagonists do this but I found it interesting
You can actually see where Ubisoft stopped caring about the impactful details, like how running in water is not the same as running on land. And it starts at Unity.
The silly walk on III,black flag and rogue is always good
I like the water in Black Flag best. It's sooo blue & soothing to the eyss.
BF and Rogue had one of the best water physics ngl i always shoot down icebergs and surf the waves
Until ac revelations there's a weird slow down of character before entering the water. Water physics have truly changed from ac 3.
Looks like the same water all over again
Syndicate: "I'm gonna do it Batman"!
Man the water in black flag when i first played it completely immersed me feel like im in the Caribbean
Dawg, the first AC has better water physics than Watch_Dogs legion 😂
When you cheat on the swimming test on applying assasin academy
I love how games evolving backwards
Black Flag still has some of the best water physics I've ever seen
