The" philharmoniker " are one of the best baroqueorchestras.
Perhabs, this piece of rebel is more suitable to a modern orchestra.
In " les elements" rebel opens the door to classical period....

That's a pretty good string section. Stabrawa, Braunstein, and Kashimoto are missing and still it sounds ok.

who is in the first chair of the violins?

His name is Wolfram Brandl and he's one of the 1st Concert Masters of the Staatskapelle Berlin. Before that, he played 1st violin in the Berliner Philharmoniker for 11 years.

I don’t think this piece is given justice when played in a modern ensemble. Great work, but I prefer baroque music on period instruments and in period ensembles. ):
