I only found out recently I live within a 20 minute drive from sinead I hope to meet her personally...... what she went through in life I hope nobody else ever has too the worst part I believe is losing her 17 year old son this year from suicide..... God love and protect her although now I belive its Allah she became a Muslim

As I understand it this song was written for her by Prince about the death of her mother with whom she had a difficult relationship but loved with all her h. Listen again with this in mind and it will break your heart

You should really see the official video, way more moving than this video, the live audience and her jumping around, takes away from the emotion.
Yeah, but that note she nails in this one, and just holds it with incredible power, makes it an even wash imo. Both great versions.

Like my mother always said "Keep your religious and political views to yourself" She's a pure example.
She shed light on the atrocities of the Catholic church, she was (and still is) a brave woman who risked it all for her convictions. She is not a popstar, she is a protest singer, that's how she defines herself. Her religious and political beliefs are part of her and her music.
