Well this was unexpected! Received a message this week about an upcoming remix release out of the blue! Had my schedule rather jam packed but found some time to create this animation/lyric/visualization video yesterday! Really pleased with the results and how the entire thing came together.
Was quite the rewarding project since I had a lot of freedom when it came to designing the whole thing. For the one part there was already an animation video of sorts for the original track. Wanted to one up that while still retaining a lot of the visual elements from that. The cover art was also something worth noting as the main lyric section of the video borrows the design a bit.
My personal contribution was to metaphorically introduce some additional elements that stem from the song and its themes. For instance one of these would be the corruption of love as shown visually through the glitching of the phone or the extreme emphasis on specific words. I think the biggest difference was flipping the entire drop section of the main video and introducing a sort of "royal" and "prideful" love. Put on top of that a nice bass line and you have a full heartbeat to round things off.
All in all it was great making this. Looking forward to the next project!
