Dam he gives you the most unreliable mag for a 1911. U should have given him the Wilson combat 10round mag that are the most reliable mag. I use them as backup for my 1911 when I concealed carry

My 1911 Kimber rapide with eight round mag is a tack driver. Always reliable and if I need more than eight rounds to lay my threat down then I'm doing something wrong especially with the accuracy
Im a 1911 fanboy, but any, and I mean ANY handgun with a extended magazine that holds more than what will fit into the grip, just doesn't look good for one, and defeats the purpose for two.
I would rather have 6 or 7 for sure, than 20 maybe. James yeager said a version of that and it stuck with me. And please dont tell me that was a pro mag. Lol

But I found mine IRL at a pawn shop and I like to actually hold a gun before I buy it, so I went with the normal version with a flared magwell and dark camo cerakote instead of threaded barrel and tac rail, do really miss that rail sometimes tho ngl! Shoots straight af tho, a real tac driver🤘
I hate when people use the “it was good for both world wars” argument. Sure, but ww1 was 110 years ago, and ww2 was 84 years ago. Technology has advanced tremendously since those times, the 1911 is an old design. It’s time to move on to a 2011 or a modern 1911. Mechanically speaking, there are much better.

I like rock island armory double stack 1911s. 14+1 for .45 and 16+1 for 10mm. I have the 10mm one and it's a big ass gun but I like it 😂

1911 mags can be very finicky and dimensions really matter so don’t just pick up any mag and think it’s gonna be reliable
