Quite disappointing that they couldn't dub DK West's Rap in Japanese

I was expecting him and Zuke to rap in Japanese too, I wanted to hear it so bad but got none sadly!

It's very tilting. Also, I found the encounter very awkward. Zuke was very fast, and there would be long pauses, when compared to the original.
I'm very disappointed that they decided to make DK speak in Japanese, whereas he spoke in Malay in the English dub. They could've atleast make him speak in Ainu or something.

Translating songs is hard and can sometimes devolve into a catch 22 situation
You make the translation accurate to what's being said and it'll likely not flow as well
You change things around to make it flow better and now the translation may not be accurate.

Well, translating a song is already difficult. Now a rap or something that needs to rime. A freaking nightmare! all of the different rules of phonetics combined with keeping the overall meaning, a recipe for disaster.
I mean, someone has probably managed, but it’s to much work for something that will probably end up, meh.

Wasn't dk's lenguage Malay in the eng dub ? I wonder why they change it if they left the rap the same

Yes he does only speak in Malay in English and YAA its so questionable they change it to him speaking Japanese in Japanese Dub but retain his rap.
EDIT: DK West raps in English for both English & Japanese Dub

@@AuraArondight Yup, I've played the game both in English and Japanese. DK West speaks the Malay language in English Dub and Japanese in Japanese and raps only in English for both.

@kkirby999 Most of the time is to check what mods and stickers I got equipped on Mayday and Zuke cause I can't remember and sometimes there's a bug I discovered where the game will pause randomly like for example here at 1:03:44 if you have both keyboard and Controller plugged in at the same time which I did . Sorry if it ruins the flow >_
