Sammy did a great job for us, its a shame we didn't have him for longer. We need 2-3 to come in to help get the goals. Don't want tk put too much pressure on Dolan, his time will come.
Town fan , it's going to be real tough to stay up , 17th would do me this season . All the best for the season Rovers . SS was on fire last season , hoping for the same again but tbh what a tough ask to score even 10 goals .
Couldn’t disagree more with the slander of szmodics overall game, many times last season he was the bright spark that got on the ball, looked forwards and made something happen when nobody else had the nerve to take risks. His passion and love of the game can’t be replaced. He just gets it
As an ipswich fan back in league one we got players from the championship that were not making the grade and top players from league one and got it right it's about hungry players. Blackburn need hungry stars from league one and putting them in the right positions and you will be great.
I think the loan market is the way to go for maybe 2 of the incumbent transfers. Szmodics only signed a contract in December, and barring Fleck and McFadzean and later Wieman who came on free transfers (free transfers typically demand higher wages) I would guess that contract would have made Szmodics one of the top earners at the club. Even if the board had always accounted for Szmodics leaving, they will have had to have also approved for a budget should he have stayed for a year regardless due to the length of the contract. Therefore, that money is, in theory, already in place, and you'd think would allow for 2 permanent 1st team signings, and could give us more quality. For permanent transfers, I'd want a Keeper and a Fullback. Any new attackers should be loan deals, as I think once Leonard and Gilsenan are back, it will allow them a pathway into the squad. The last thing we want is for them to go on the cheap and see out their development elsewhere.
Glad to finally find where you are lads! Great summary and insight as always. Totally agree with Mark on the fact I'm more gutted than I thought I would be. Sammy's skill and hard work will be sorely missed. I just hope I don't feel Yuki for long ;) Love to Dan btw.
Think Sammy has proved to be the utmost pro' whilst this drawn out transfer saga his been going on...Especially when you look at players like Rowe at Norwich, refusing to play... I think he'll fit in well at Ipswich, he's in the form of his life and he's a very versatile forward.. McKenna will get the best out of any player at his disposal. He's a coach that concentrates on a players best attributes... Think you got a fare deal, price wise... Good luck for your season ahead..
I don't think were a selling club , you just cant keep a player who doesn't want to stay , Blackburn has to balance the Books , just don't have the Home attendance to really keep pushing us on the up.
Since we are still in the Championship, we cannot expect to keep any star players for long time! Players come and go, that's the professional football, and money increase when you sell and you should spend it! The important thing is not to accumulate in debts as the Venkys doing now!! We should improve the budget and focus in the quality, and always looking to the bright side and the future. The important thing is return to the Premier league and there every players wants to play for you! Upset about Sami.. but this is Football, and this was expected, wish to him all the best.
The issue is. Your in Your prime at 28... so hes got his best years ahead... and we cant replace him for 10 million. You cant blame Ipswich or Smodz for going he Deserves it but 9 or 10 million whatever it is - is daylight robbery. Shows how desperate Rovers are as a Club!! Remember this when you think 10 million is a good price?! Ipswich in the same window have paid 21.5 million for Greaves from Hull City whos a centre back thats only ever played in the championship! Yes hes 23 turning 24 but hes untested too. How many points will he get them this season. Attackers that create chances and score goals are a Premium. 🤦♂️🤷♂️ mark my words this aint good business by Rovers. Its a shocker plain n simple
Was expecting an Everton to come in for him so disappointed it was Ipswich as they are odds on to come straight back down, thus feel a bit like a loyal husband whose wife has left them for a richer guy she knows will only be a fling; but gonna look at it like Mark and thank Christ it wasn't a Leeds
@@Stov11 Why? Sure it's every footballer's dream to play in the Prem but surely for a stable and established Prem team, not one that were in League 1 18 month ago and just so you can get beat every week and fight in yet another relegation battle season after just having one with the team you left
I'm a tractor 🚜, and I'm totally stoked that we have secured Sammie Szmodic. Good luck for the season
Look after our lad

I agree i think he lost the ball but he lost it trying to thread those balls through. He cut out the crossfield passes in the end
What a player,im really happy he's joined us you guys. Sorry it hurts, but we will look after your boy. Itfc. Mx

Am I saying we should of got 20 million then no not really... but it had to be atleast £15 in the current market.
Afternoon guys, wonder if anyone would be available to do a short 4/5 minute video for my CZcams Channel on Sammi Szmodics??

Williams Donna Thompson Kenneth Lee Sandra
Don't even go there suggesting Dolan can fill the void left by smoz. Not good enough and never has been. He is league 1 level sadly.
Did you think Szmodics would have replaced Dack? I know I didn't....

What a stupid outlook to have.
