In the latest clip, Rafer Alston talked about going to the New Jersey Nets before being bought out of his contract and joining the Miami Heat that same NBA season. While on the Heat, Alston suffered a performance-altering wrist injury and had a lot of issues going on in his personal life. He felt disrespected by the organization after he was stripped of all of his playing despite being a starter. As a result, Alston abandoned the team and stopped responding to messages. Alston admitted that it was the "second-dumbest" decision of his NBA career but added that he still would have wanted to leave the team. - Zábava
As much as ppl wanna hate Vlad you gotta admit he gets great interviews
Some folks are natural haters
They’re fans. They stay hating on vlad in every interview, that means they watch every single one
The best
@Shane Williams he an some of the artist have said in interviews that he doesn’t pay for interviews
Once in awhile he does but man he makes himself the topic most of the time
"Besides the Eddie House slap"

Sometimes we make decisions we can learn from but most decisions you can’t come back from

To that a great Quote Fam, did you come up with that or is it a famous saying?
He didn't die so it's just life.

The only streetball player that I know who had a solid career in the NBA and made it to the finals
He had a solid career?idk about that,he quit on the nba as well that's really dumb

He wasn't really at the bottom. His life choices put him there.

When Stan van Gundy let jameer nelson start over him in the finals Orlando automatically lost
I'm glad I'm not the only 1 that remembers , rafer led them to the finals playing out if his mind ...on the other hand Nelson hasn't played since before the app star game and didn't even have any prep games , just got thrown right into the finals and even when it was evident he's not gonna be able to contribute in the same way...the coach stuck with his guy out of "loyalty" I believe it was Scott Skiles and he he lost his job shortly after that , rightfully so, having a fluke game where he somehow totalled 30 assists as a backup PG parlayed Scott to many positions in the future he had no business occupaying...much like the early coaching career of Jason Kidd...both were an embarrassment to themselves and their teams although Kidd was a legend on the court and first ballot hall of famer , skiles on the other hand a never has been
Sorry I meant van Gundy ...Scott Skiles is also 1 of the most overrated coaches of all time imo
Jameer was a all star
Nostalgic Gamer thats facts i remember that shit vividly when Stan Van Gundy bench him in the
Finals Against the Lakers in 09 and he was sitting on the bench tight with towel on the bench pouting im from Queens New york so I noticed that shit

@@jerryjones2389 made a mistake walked away from Miami. Stated 2nd dumbest thing done in career. Should of handled it differently even though he felt disrespected. Says his bumps in the road are learning experience that he uses to help others, the youth and his child. I'll take that mindset over many others
But that’s where professionalism comes in.

I don't think people actually realize the sheer volume of videos that Vlad releases first off..the quality and the depth of the interview (comes from doing research) is unparalleled by any one on one interview channel.. I get on here and talk shit and have fun but I'm on here because I love Glad and his channel.. He's on our side guys..give him some slack. Yo Vlad you need to start doing them blend mixes again.. Interesting handling issues with close family. Wrist injured can't shoot well or play at top level. Men days he handled the situation incorrectly learned and grew from it. Now uses bumps in road to teach others and son. Don't really see how an injured wrist is self created. Definitely should of handled differently.

It's a job you quit 😂 do you know how the real world works just cuz they get paid millions don't mean it's not a job at the end of the day you can quit

As I said before you can’t hate on vlad. But this is such a horrible interview. You can tell Skip is kinda annoyed by the questions. Because there all negative in nature. He could have asked so much more questions about his And 1 career. His journey to the NBA. But he just highlights all his negative highlights. It’s a shame. He has so much basketball information. He should have have someone else conduct the interview.
First
He was good but very overrated like most new York players
Ouch
To many great NY players for that dumb a statement. FOH!

He literally is stating the mistakes he’s made. These “excuses” are things HE did wrong. How is he not taking responsibility?

Rafer Alston is an overrated player. Jeff Van Gundy liked him for his low turn over ratio stat. Plus he didn't have a reliable point guard at the time. Stan van Gundy played Alston because Jamine Nelson was injured. Alston is not a reliable scorer, his assist ratio is not high for a starting point guard. Alston is really a bench player on a good team.
You say overrated but he played his role well as a backup and delivered when needed. Make it make sense 🤔🤔🤔🤔
You clearly didn't watch his finals run with the magic when he was inexicably yanked from the starting lineup upon Nelson's return eventhough rafer was playinf better than Nelson ever played at the time ...everyone who watched that series knows as soon as Nelson git thrusted into the starting lineup after being out 6 months , the writing was on the wall for Orlando, and van Gundy was so stubborn , he didn't even reinsert rafer into the lineup even when it was clear that Nelson was half the player he was before the injury ....Nelson was never a starter again after that and retired a few short years after that , during which he bounced around like a yoyo around the NBA, mostly as a throw in that never even git the time and day again....that's what actually happened
Rafer best your mom tho 1 on 1 lol
I tried to tell Rafer dont leave while your hot, that's how Ma$e screwed up.
