      I think self taking is no rocket science. You can plan n book accordingly on your budget. And also if you book from tour n travels they definitely take their charges. So it's upto you.

    Travelling from Texas, USA to Leh in late September or October of this year (2021). Do you know the situation with Covid there....? Weather will be nice then? Snow is fine!

      In Oct I can't predict the situation of covid. Bcoz govt is predicting 3rd wave. So I am not really sure about it. And about weather in ladakh in September , it would be all snow.

      For snowing areas , wear boots , for normal areas you can wear sport shoes but leather shoes are preferred for bike rides

      I think 500pp was the price for camel ride. In Leh you can buy sovineris like magnets , tee shirt , woollen stuff like lehfied. And also you can get urself a freshly painted art like we got for ourselves

      No we pre-booked everything. Our itinerary was fixed and so are the hotels. That made our trip smooth.

      I don't have much idea about it. But I think for tempo traveller u need a group , so better talk to ur hotel , or any other group to get together with them or I think booking a group package would be a great idea.

    So how many layers you wore in day time and night?

      Weather of ladakh keeps on changing in intervals . Sometimes hot sometimes cold . So need to wear atleast 4 layers . Like one jacket, one sweater , one warmer and one tshirt. And try to wear your warmer above your tshirt and below your sweater bcoz if weather hits hot you can remove all your layers. And vice versa.i hope it helped

      I think that would be too cold that time. But still people go but number of visitors will be less after sept. You make ur plan accordingly. You can enquire from hotel about the same.

      I think it would be cold during that period. And high passes may have snowfall. I am not sure bcz I have not travelled in those months.

    You are forgot to visit some other beautiful place.Next time you visit ladakh. Don't forget to visit tsomoriri lake, tsokar lake and Hanly valley.This place are also beautiful for hiking and watching a different kinds of birds and wild animals.Best month to visit are April or September.
