He should finally try Ornn with Varus. Its a little bit of a meme deck, but both champs synergize pretty well (its very easy to level up Ornn with Varus and Ornn forge is perfect for Varus as well).

About the bonus scene: there wasn't a way to survive that attack unless you had 4 mana left to copy archer and freeze ashe. The guy saw the archer play but not the mana xD
Even if you played watcher, both your watcher and abominable guardian would be frozen cause of double ashe atack.
Worse, they could kill the watcher because it's the "strongest" and there's that wolf that would kill a zero atk units

The emote players are likely bot accounts farming for rank to resell later on. I've come across a lot of strange players in ranked lately who play sub-optimally and emote spam constantly. Pretty fishy..
If you want to see bots check out the labs, nothing but bot accounts.
