In London 2 bhk apartment will cost minimum 1250 gbp plus bills even in cheapest area...4 bhk house will easily cost 2500 gbp as rent. Thankfully bus service is pretty cheap.

monthly taxes in UK are 40 to 50% pm but education and medical are free...so if a working couple makes say 20000 pounds pm taxes are say 10000 pm so take home is 10000 pm after all expenses say 6000 pm so saving should be 4000 pounds or 4 lacs...so yearly savings can be 40 to 50 lacs
Average salary is 40k per year and someone with super niche skill and double digit experience in IT can get 80k-90k.
For most of the people 20000 pound is per annum salary not per month....
No one get 20000.....here...
