  • Bodaboda is one of the key sectors in the transportation industry in Kenya, providing affordable and convenient transport services to millions of people across the country. Despite this, the industry faces many challenges, among them safety issues. Helmets are a key safety gear in bodaboda, but most of the time only a few riders use them. To enhance safety, a local venture is now manufacturing high quality helmets targeting both the local and international market.

The problem is quality control. Serious riders want ECE, snell and Dot certified Helmets.

Made in Kenya yes, are they safe... NO. I'm a Boda boda rider in the cbd but I wouldn't recommend this to any rider who is more concerned about his safety unless unataka kuvaa helmet ju ya polisi.

Good job but someone needs to advise them that the crash test need to be done scientifically. The helmet needs to absorb the impact and hence shatter to some extent and thus prevent the impact from going directly to the head. Aside from that, this is manufacturing in the right direction and the government needs to put tariff on the imported helmets.
