    After 6 hours of struggle with other tutorials yours just helped me master this in less than 30 minutes. It's indeed true that one can have information and not make a great teacher.

    Thanks! A real time saver! I've been using the pen tool to draw paths to put the text in to do about the same thing, this a MUCH better. One thing I can't figure out how to do, or even if it's possible. That is to put a graphic in the middle of a background and have text flow around it on all sides, top, bottom, left and right without covering over the graphic. I saw this and had to try it. I can't make it work. When I make the selection into a work path the path is like it should be with the graphic in the middle and the work path around it. But when I use the rectangular marquee tool and then click "make work path" from that, it just makes one big square work path and doesn't exclude the graphic in the middle and the text goes over the graphic as if it wasn't there. Is there any way to do that?

    • @sou.joaopaulo
      @sou.joaopaulo Před 5 lety

      In order for this tip to work you need to do the path part before pasting the text, I'm sayng just in case you forgot, since you didn't mentioned it. Good luck :)

I have been tried but with out results. The point is that the horizontal paragraph will be just one around the image. No two blocks. Could you help me pleases? Thanks.

      When making the "Intersect With" rectangle, leave room at the top for at least 1 line of text.

      @BLTV_Photoshop  Před 5 lety

      Move your subject down in your document so there is room at the top above your subject's head. Then, drag a rectangle with the Marquee tool over your subject making sure the rectangular selection doesn't touch the top of your subject's head.

    Very handy to know. But if you have access to InDesign you really should use that for large bodies of text instead of Photoshop.
