In case you were wondering: yes, the inscription does say that they pooped the chariots.
It took me a couple weeks of learning Akkadian and cuneiform, googling around, and translating, but in the end I sorted out the section and confirmed the translations. The relevant text is between lines 30 to 32 of Sennacherib’s prism Column VI:
Ŝi-na-te-ŝu-un (urine) ú-zar-ra-bu (involuntary discharge) ki-rib (inside) narkabâte-ŝu-nu (their chariots) ú-maŝ-ŝe-ru-ni (release, abandon) zu-u-ŝu-un (feces)
In “Metaphors of massacre in Assyrian Royal Inscriptions”, Marc van de Mieroop translates the section as “They passed hot urine and dropped their excrement inside their chariots”. He further points out that in the fourth version (D) of Sennacherib’s eighth campaign account, although much abbreviation and omission of images happened, the pooping is the only image that is conserved.

It was amazing Cy!!! There is a local belief here in Khouzestan that the city of Izeh in eastern Khouzestan is actually Anshan, since this city has so many Elamite engravings and inscriptions, also it's full of Seleucid and Parthian engravings aswell

I really want a history of something like the New York mafia or something but done exactly like this. Which, I guess I know it sounds the way it does because of lack of documentation, but the way they talk and interact just makes me think of crime families interacting and dividing cities up into territories that they fight over in various ways. Just on a bigger scale I guess. Or it’s just that mafia systems are set up exactly like any human civilization, as it’s a good set up to accomplish certain goals.

Yes, I've read about it and from what little I know, that place and Catal Huyok may have been more developed at the time than the sites of Sumer, though eventually the Sumerians would have the first real cities - Gobekli Tepe was still a relatively small site. As for age, yeah I could see it as being a candidate for the oldest, somewhat developed settlement.

Yeah I actually like doing podcasts... more informal, quicker to produce and I feel that I have more freedom to talk at length. Hi, thanks for stopping by and for the question, appreciate it. No, not to my knowledge unless some of them adopted it much later after contact with various Iranian peoples. Historically from what we know based on various texts, their religion for the most part was very similar to that of their neighbors in Mesopotamia, though they had their own national gods/goddess and some interesting rituals...their religious architecture as described in texts was unique and some sites described as having "horns" but what the significant of them were isn't know nor to my knowledge have the remains of such objects ever been found (probably were destroyed over time).

So why does the area of Elam always stay separate and jump between Mesopotamian and Persian civilizations? It going from independent to Babylonian to Persian makes me think of Saddam Hussein with this area. It was under an Iranian government but has Sunni Arabs and Saddam Hussein was trying to annex it.

If you read genesis 10 you will learn about Elam in verse 22. Following shems descendents at verse 25 Pe'leg's name means earth divided. Joktan ends with the chapter, but the bible is Pe'legs history leading to the messiah. Why was earth divided, over what? Elam, joktan, cush and nimrod all lived together at the same time. The division was we with nimrod or we with Jehovah. The story of Pe'leg starts at chapter 11.

Haha I'll take that as a compliment I guess? Yeah just thougt I'd surprise you all. With regard to Brandon's comment, I'm not a native speaker of any Semitic language, but I have studied some of them which has helped me with the pronunciation of some of words and names that I come across, especially from Babylonia/Assyria. Haha with regard to being big? I remember my doctor saying some time back that I'm average height for an American.

@@bredmond812 haha no, definitely not over 6 feet. Yeah, I also speak Portuguese, Spanish and some German, Persian, Gujarati and Hindi...it comes from living in different places and a love of learning different languages.
