Confusion : just to understand mean effective pressure you said it's = pressure generated during suction stroke + command rail pipe pressure, right?
But, we know injection takes place at the end of compression stroke. So after compression pressure in cylinder will already be high.
So how this will balance the pressure of the injection.

MPFI is only for petrol engines.
CRDI is for diesel engines.
@@Turbo_Charged. MPFI is for petrol engines. They both inject fuel but in MPFI the injector is attached to the intake manifold and in CRDI the diesel is ignited by the pressure (through systems) and is used instead of spark plug.

@@Turbo_Charged. Oh! Can you tell me why diesel engines are priced greater than petrol ones? Petrol engines have more components than diesel engines. Like spark plug is absent in diesel ones. Is the making of the highly pressurized atomized fuel and injecting it into the cylinders directly responsible for this?

As diesel engine is compression ignition engine so fuel is ignited by high temperature created by generating high pressure inside the cylinders. So construction of diesel engine is much robust & heavier to withstand the high pressure & temp than petrol engine. Thats why price is more.
& yes, high pressure fuel injection system also contributes in higher costing.
But that higher cost is worth as the life of diesel engine is also more .
