- Take Me Away was shot in Los Angeles directed by Dan Garland aka Danny Aces, guitar player of New Medicine. The video shows singer Jake Scherer in a dream state going in for a lobotomy to cure his depression and anxiety. Opening line "I need a break from my brain" is really what inspired this concept. We take mental health very seriously, this is meant to shed light on the inescapable thoughts some people have and are desperate to get a break from.

Concept of MV from my perspective: The line says " I need a break from my brain" and though it may look funny how doctors are drilling through the brain it actually seems how the person who is struggling from anxiety and pain is going through like that how his brain is messing up and each and everything outside world, society tells to do , and especially when they compare that if "he/she can do you can do it too , everything is in your Brain just snap out of it ", and this dialogue feels like someone is drilling that machine inside your head but you want each and everything to shut so finally when doctor tooks out brain, blood is everywhere on doctor's face and doctor(people) may think it's normal , it's just some blood(like common stress everyone faces) but you can see when he is singing blood(pain) is on his face but doctors can't see that as he seems normal to them they can't see blood on his face (people can't feel your anxiety pains ) that's why scenes are switching from blood on his face to doctors who can't see blood on his face and when finally doctors asks him after brain is out so does he feel good and he gives thumps up because he needed break from the brain and finally it's out of his skull( may be telling us that not all can found help and support but atleast try to tell your loved one that what you are facing and they might understand you and you can also found yourself help because Asking for help is what tells you are not giving up, you are taking one step to heal yourself!
