Anyone realised how fucking great camera work is done here? Its like another band member, showing everything it should, right in the time, building pressure, accenting tempo of the song, closups right in time to show most vivid emotions. Realisation guys should get an Oscar or something.

The thing I really love about Damien Rice (besides the fact that he's just all around fantastic) is how much he seems to love music and performing. Whenever he plays live, it's like he just forgets that there's an audience. He seems puts on these amazing shows not so much to impress others, but because that's what he wants to do. It's amazing to see in an industry where everything is done with the public in mind.
I love this song so much. Such raw passion and emotions performed so beautifully! The innocence and fond memories in Lisa Hanningan's portion of the song leading into the hurt and devastation in Damien's portion gives me the chills every time. Even 8 years after hearing the song for the first time.
In high school I loved this video for the rage in the middle-end of the song with little to no lyrics. The way lisa stood back behind Damien's emotion always spoke to me. Now that I'm married and have had my fair share of emotions and arguments this song makes me see a night where you've argued possibly beyond repair but there's still that glimpse of love and hope. Lisa's screaming makes me think of the loving side still fighting back. You wish for things to work but there's too much frustration and too little understanding. I am happily married, but it is interesting to have a perspective flip on it. Thank you for the upload!!

I discovered Damien Rice on the internet with this song. I bought all his CDs. The internet is not just about illegal downloads but also to discover! Love the melancholy in his music.
I got this album in 2005, after seeing the movie "Closer". He does "Blowers Daughter" at the end. The CD "O", got me through a bad time in my life, when I was depressed over situations, I couldn't control, involving my two toddler daughters. His music is hauntingly powerful, and was a way for me to immerse myself until the point, I was no longer depressed. It was awesome therapy. I stopped listening to this album, when my hurt was over, because I didn't want to fall back in. But now, after 10 years, I think I'm safe. I still love his music, he's an awesome and powerful performer!!!!
Music is like a natural medication. It makes us laugh, cry, sleep, happy; can move us to deep dark places, or move us out. When I saw the movie"Closer", (Julia Roberts is my girl), it in itself had an impact, from a bad time in my life. Then, the song played at the end. I"m a grown man, can't remember when I cried last as a kid growing up, but I can say, I cried in this movie, and went into deep depression and cried from this CD. It was medicine for me though. Ten years later and I have custody of my 2 daughters, a great job, and no-one in my life that can affect my emotions anymore, like my ex wife did. I can look back at the experience as one, I would not trade for anything, because it taught me a lot of who I am, and what I wanted in life. Thank you for your comments.

His music made me company through a very delicate moment in my life and after that there was a time that I couldnt listen to it beacuse it would bring back that terrible emotions to life again, but now it kind of brings a sort of "overcoming/healing" feeling . Superior song, great intense music and awesome fitting lyrics. It gave me multiple chills down my spine, still feeling it multiple times over...still reeling.. It's raw and guttural and primal.. I was 17 when I first watch this video and now I'm almost 28. Last year I was in his concert in London, I just couldn't stop crying. It's like only in his voice, i was allowed to be true of myself, see how weak I am, all those sadness buried in the bottom of my heart.
I have listened to hundred of songs live performances... legendary bands...solos which will take ones breath away but nothing comes close to this performance, it was so good that it became painful to watch towards the Damien's part !! Masterpiece is the only word which can come close to describing it !!

It's like watching a Darren Aronofsky's movie - it keeps you on edge the whole time because you know it's starting all peaceful but hell is about to break loose. I remember first listening to 'O' in 2005 and being completely blown away. Didn't realize until years later that it just wasn't a solo album, but really a collaboration between Damien and LIsa. Utterly beautiful and heart-wrenching. This performance of the final song on the album encapsulates 'O'.
