Wow Emirates really pulled out all the stops for Premium Economy. And the food looked better than I’ve had in BA Club World. Looks great.
In case anyone was wondering, according to the screen he showed regarding Emirates A380 cruising speed of 0.85 mach, this is equivalent to the plane flying comfortably at roughly 650 mph! The A380 is one of the largest passenger commercial jets in the world and is capable of flying several hundred passengers and tons of cargo weight at nearly 1.0 mach! Amazing!
When I flew JNB - DXB I think the A380 cruised at FL410. The higher the altitude it flies, the Mach number must be higher to sustain the flight level, I hope I am not wrong.

@@furaham Unfortunately, no, the higher the altitude the lower the speed need to reach Mach 1 or above is. For example at FL410 the Mach speed is only 660mph (1062km/h), however at sea level Mach speed is 762mph (1223km/h)

I flew Emirates on their 777 back in July between Copenhagen and Dubai and back and I loved the de boarding music (the jazz kinda one) so happy I found it here! Good video! Love Emirates!
Flew with them for the first time in August and wow was impressed with economy, great food and they brought food every few hours for a 8 hour flight

Hmm, interresting. So the 2-4-2 setup with independent arm rest is nice, but when the cabin is empty, you can't really lay down on the whole row like in Eco.
So weird to see it empty. My biggest concern is that Skywards members will be bumped into PE rather than into Business Class... And that was a big perk of Emirates. I flew so many Business class legs thanks to that.
Food looks excellent for premium economy. I doubt the other airlines will be able to produce the same.

Can't believe you missed the most important aspect for travellers. The chair when fully reclined for sleeping.
It doesn't fully recline.

I would’ve like the the crew asked the person next to you or you if you wanted to change seats to the middle to make it more comfortable for both of you.

Thank you ! Fort the moment the PE is only on some A380 but it's about to grow to a bigger part of the fleet. As for the fare it was just less than double the price of an Economy ticket.

Qatar CEO has said that they don’t need a Premium Economy cabin as their Economy is already on par with Premium Economy, apparently that’s the case.
@@kriskim320 that would be the case more so if qatar had gotten their a321 neq economy product but now that got canceled alongside with the a350 contract

Even the person in front of you in full recline during your meal it looks like you had plenty of space to comfortably eat
Yes I confirm, it was not a problem at all to eat comfortably
When the seat in front is reclined it appears that your space becomes very limited.

To my point of view it was more comfortable, however Emirates Economy class on the A380 is already very good
I can't bear those foot rests. I'm six foot three, and they not only take up precious space; but, hit me right in the shins. I gave up on EK a few years ago, and have been perfectly happy with QR.
I agree about the foot rests. The legroom was just OK here, and the footrests would get in my way.
Being short so those foot rests are great. Travelling long haul without them, is just uncomfortable.
@@caromurray6152 .. Um, short people can fly anywhere in cheap 28" pitch economy seats like it's their castle... and they still complain... I only read short people's airline reviews for comedic value.

The seat recline was pretty good, as for the leg support It was un useful for me because I'm tall. Maybe someone smaller could find it useful

Just flew 14 hours with them (SYD/DXB). Yes, the seats look nice - but gee they are uncomfortable. Will be sticking with EK economy to be honest.
They would have given you a lounge pass at check-in if your ticket granted access...have you never flown Business Class before 🤔

Me flying ECO thinking how amazing would be something in between BUSINESS. Airlines start to introduce their PREMIUM...Let's check prices for ECO PREMIUM, ok still expensive af.
On certain routes you actually can get a business flatbed for the entire flight for not much more than what Emirates charges for Premium Eco on the shorter flight segment and plain Eco on the way longer flight segment. Their pricing for their poor Business Class in the 777 also is laughable at best and even when you book a flight in their Business Class of the A380 it could just be changed to 777 anytime later. Emirates is best to be booked only in Eco or F.
