ABOUT THE VOICE
The four-time Emmy Award-winning musical competition series "The Voice" returns as Queen of Country Reba McEntire claims her red chair alongside last season's champ, Niall Horan, and returning superstar coaches John Legend and Gwen Stefani as they vie to discover and coach the next singing phenomenon.
The show's innovative format features five stages of competition: Blind Auditions, Battle Rounds, Knockouts, Playoffs and Live Performance Shows.
This season, the block returns to the Blind Auditions, and during Battles, each coach will have two steals to use. The Three-Way Knockouts are also back. This time, however, artists will select their own songs to perform.
Once the Live Performance Shows begin, the top artists will compete against each other weekly during a live broadcast. This time, the television audience will vote to save their favorite artists. In the end, one artist will be named "The Voice" and receive the grand prize of a recording contract.

All of the finalists are very talented. When I think of who I will vote for, I base it on whose concert I would buy tickets for. Lila has my vote. I love her voice.
She should have won !!!
This girls voice is rare!! Its so stunning!! Unique!!!
Woman not a girl.
@@SagebrushRambles well duh 🙄 good lord lol 🤣
She not only sounds like a star but she looks like one too. Very classy. In every way.
I SO agree! Classy AND sexy - couldn't take m y eyes off her!
I actually love this song choice 🤩 Love this upbeat arrangement that never strays from her cool, effortless style. And yet another classic that she spins so expertly!
This is how Aretha Franklin did it
I love what Lila did with this. Just wish she rocked a piano in the finale!
Lila is my bet since the beginning! Go for the win! ☆
I think I see she has so much fun in this performance. I think It's her intention to sing this song by this rearrange. She just has a great time and I'm living for it.❤❤
Love her voice.
Awesome, Lila! Jazzing it up!
NBC...the music is still louder than the vocals.
Yep. Annoying. It was the worst with this song, last night.
Nothing ever changes...
One of my favorite songs. She rocked it.
Oh my goodness! She has charisma that is off the charts❤ Pure perfection 👏 ❤. Turned it upside down 👏🎯💯😘
She does not only deserve to win the voice, but she also deserves a record deal.
really? I was quite bored lol , but maybe I just don''t listen to this music a lot
Are you kidding? This song choice was terrible!
@@ozzienevmusic well the title of the show is the voice, though. not the song choice. Thanks for the comment. I really appreciate this.
@@ChaosElohim I agree, but her voice is nice to listen to. thanks for the comment. I really appreciate this.
@@ChaosElohim It wasn't the greatest song choice for the finale but she still showed enough versatility in this performance. Would have loved to hear her sing "Can't Help Falling In Love" by Elvis.
These song choices were lack lustre for an otherwise incredible vocalist with an incredibly unique tone. I think when she does her own thing she is at her best.
Yes. They take away her strengths when they have her sing like this. She so much better doing her own arrangements
They torpedoed her chances with these last bad song choices.
I love the changes she made to this iconic song. Lila really does have such a great musical understanding, that she can then be creative and play with songs. She's a rare one and will go far in the music industry for sure. Love her style, love her voice 👏👏👏💗💗💗
I feel the same way!
She didn't change it, this is how Aretha Franklin did it
The best performance of the night
I've been listening to a lot of versions of this song for many years, I may have to listen to this version a few more times to get my head around it...
The jury is still out.
She definitely brought her own interpretation, but Wow!
Jury just in. Fail. On every level except the slide intro.
#LilaForde sounds and looks incredible 🌟
what were the odds of Mara, Jacquie and Lila singing songs from my everyday playlist? i'm stunned by that, this is very different from the original version, very creative!
This was my fav performance from lila😍
MY WINNER
She's ready for stardom! Great job on a cherished classic.
Lila has an amazing voice every she keep on getting better
Who is choosing these songs???
I will be looking for this young woman's music to come out. Rare voice and original perspective.
She is effortless that's why people relax and enjoy to listen.
I just love Lila! She is an exceptional artist, and I’ve found her original content to be beautiful❤. Having said that, what the heck was going on with this song selection, but mostly the arrangement??!!! You are incredible Lila, I just wish you would have had a better choice of song in the final!!❤
I love it!!! She makes me like country music. I absolutely love her choices!
Um, she's not a country singer. 🤔
@@TheRedWineGal I know, but wasn't that a country song? I was referring to the song. Whenever she sings a country song, I like it and even wanna listen to it on repeat, which is sth I hardly ever do when it comes to country music.
@ HeartChannel - not really a country song. Robbie Robertson of The Band wrote it, and Levon Helm sang it. I guess it has a funky folk-country twang to it, but I wouldn't classify it as country.
first of all she's not Country and I wouldn't classify this as country either this is more of a blues song to me I don't know@@HeartChannelInsights
@HeartChannelInsights - Neither of the two songs that Lila sang last night were country songs. The Weight is folk/classic rock, and Across The Universe is a Beatles’ song.
I can’t believe she didn’t win. She is amazing and was my favorite!!! Hopefully she puts more music out there for us to listen to!!!
I believe it
This song and performance was like a set back for her. At a time when she could’ve gone next level.
so creative ..loved this version
To be honest I enjoyed watching the percussion player more. He was all smiles and having fun up there.
She looks great!
*How* did she change her entire hair between songs, that along makes her a winner imo
Mara and Jacquie did, too.
Wigs
or extensions@@BritGirlJay
When she sang Joni Mitchell I crowned her the winner. Who actually picked this song? Definitely would NOT have been my choice for Lila.
I love Lila, but.... Who at The Voice thought that this version was ok? It's brutal!!! Where is Kaylee!!! :(
Nice performance of Lila’s, congrats
Espetacular ❤
This is an incredible version of The Band's "The Weight". It kind of reminded me of the version in the Last Waltz with the Staple Singers. She looked great and nailed this one. Original and creative. I love that she is from hippie parents. They sure exposed her to some good music growing up.
I'm still voting for Lila because of her consistency this season and she's been my favorite, but neither song was a good choice for her tonight. Lila did the best behind the piano this season, and she needed at least one song at the piano tonight.
How can you vote for her, i mean she is obviously the worst choice among the five, if only you listened to the other contestants…
her other song was amazing! but this is her worst. should have sung Free Man in Paris
@@yanncoopman9757 I listened to all 5.
@@cnickolas1843 Personally, I loved it, but yes, another Joni would have been awesome too!
Going into last night she was in my top two out of the five. She’s been in my top five for several weeks. And even though last night wasn’t her best night, I don’t think it was bad either. I think she still did a pretty good job. Just unfortunately votes are done by the night and not necessarily by the whole season, lol. So I don’t think she’ll win unless I get pleasantly surprised.
Lila doesn’t need a trophy to jump start her music career. I have a feeling she and John are working on a project.
I don’t care what yall say this girl can sang and she did great!! GO LILA!!!
Verrryyy verryy good awesome idol❤❤
She's been my favourite since the Blinds. I'm still undecided about this performance, on one hand I love the random Persian carpet theme (lol) and her sexy 70s outfit. Doing a groovy, bluesy song actually is a great fit and I liked her stage presence! (maybe she should have done Son of a Preacher Man or some Carole King). But she's drowned out by this arrangement, and the song and lyrics suit the more melancholy and sincere arrangement without all the C7 chords etc.
I am still rooting for her to win and love her original music on Spotify. To me the best performance of this episode was Jacquie Roar with 'More Than A Feeling.'
Love her she's win
I haven’t paid attention to the voice at all this year. This is a fun song to sing, she didn’t seem to enjoy it that much. She seemed kind of bored, or was struggling. My favorite versions of this song are from the Last Waltz, and Aretha‘s version.
I’ve been a fan of Lila’s from the start, but it ended with last night’s cover of “The Weight” by the legendary group, The Band. She actually did a disservice to The Band and their song. Maybe she can recover, but she has to do something spectacular to make up for this one!
She didn't make up for this disaster.
Lila has been my favourite from the start of the season. There is such a distinctive quality to her voice, which I love, but it’s clear she’s not everyone’s cup of tea.
they should have put her at the piano for both performances I feel like she's most comfortable sitting at the piano which is what we needed here because I feel like it would've made her give a better performance both times if she were in her comfort zone finale equals comfort zone to me if they're comfortable doing a certain thing then let them do it in the finale bad call John he's a piano player he should know if you asked him if he"d rather stand and sing or sit at a piano I bet you he'd say sit at the piano
I don’t know I think it was brilliant to make it her own . She needed to do one upbeat and she was having a blast. That was more so well done . Not popular opinion probably but it’s just my own .
mine too
She is very sweet and her voice is great and unique. We need more different voices in music- Variety is the spice of life lol :)
I’ll agree that it’s not my favorite rendition of this song but I applaud artists who bravely do something new. I often wonder what Robert Johnson would think of Cream’s version of “Crossroads” or the way the Stones did “Love in Vain.” These artists started with something excellent and make it their own. This sort of work I inspires me to do my own little part. When I sing “Eleanor Rigby” I am not trying to be the Beatles. I’m trying to let my audience imagine the tune in a new and unexpected way. Not everyone will like it, especially if they play the White Album on repeat but I’ll count it as a plus if they think about the tune.
She is a talented musician.
Understatement! :)
Lila's my favorite, but poor song selection for her. Wish she would sing some of her original songs. Her original "How Do You" is the best new song I've heard in 2023.
I like "All I Expected". her original music is great! I agree this wasn't her best night. Jacquie Roar stunned me with 'More Than a Feeling.'
@@POObumpoopo Thanks, I'll look for "All I Expected".
She’s excellent.
She is ❤because of her originality which means she has to put her spin on a song while she is playing the piano but they always want to try to incorporate the band into the finale 😢
who chose this for her? I love her but this is a WAY wrong… I remember when John covered this with his team on season 22 of the voice..
I agree. Wrong wrong song choice.....totally sounds flat, did not showcase her vocals. Awful selection.
I'm sorry but this sounded terrible and off key. I literally cringed and had to mute the TV. This was absolutely the WRONG song choice for Lila.
I had to rewind it because I didn’t believe what I was hearing
I'm with you. Aretha Franklin did it like this and a whole load better
How do you not put her on the piano in the finale???
Lila Forde deserved to win, she is a winner to me, you go girl, may Jesus always bless you and carry you,😇🙏👍🎶❤️
I love her, but I couldn't hear a dang word she sang. The vocals were drowned out by the loud music, especially towards the beginning-middle. Bad audio set up I guess. Sad because she had potential to win, but not many people are gonna vote for someone who can't be heard. Disappointing to say the least. Do better NBC 🤦♀️
Most of it is her inability to articulate the lyrics. She tries to hard to create an airy tone, and ends up mumbling the words.
Sadly for her, this was not a song I would have chosen for the grand finale.
I think this is as up tempo as she can possibly do.
I soooo agree. Smh. Dumb song choice, yep.
Great dress
A member of Chicago was in her band on percussion. Ray Y!!
It's all about song choice. I had Lila come in first or second. Based on last night performances, Mara and Ruby will come in 1st and 2nd. Judging by the number of likes compared to Mara and Ruby, it appears I am correct.
I think this song was the wrong for her. She could have done Florence and the Machine for her uptempo and would have been a better fit for her
Def...I saw Florence live....the oe Florence Version of Mara (?? TEAM Neil) was no way Florence style...Lila istead has a similar voice quality
I love her but this song didn't need to be messed with
Future Star
Saw all the classic bands except for Procol. Saw The Band more than any other. This is the second best cover of this piece ever, so there.
She looks and sounds finesse
To the voice top 5 and the finale of season 24 with a special prize. We just voted Lila Forde to keep her safe with "The Weight" that one was by the band and Gwen was very proud of her after she hit the top as a cover song queen. Tonight, there was more than that as.....
The only true artist on The Voice this season. They're all great, but Lila rocks!
If only you chooses the girl from Hawaii John, then maybe you have the chance to be on the top 3
I thought this was a great song choice for Lila but it still wasn't her best. I think she really shines with the ballads. The performance would have been better if this was more fun and energetic with the full band. I would give this an 8 out 10.
Sorry, I would much rather had Lila take on Bonnie Raitt Let’s Give Them Something To Talk About!! I’m a huge fan, but this was not the high rev song to sell the audience I fear.
Good Lord, how can there possibly be so few likes? She brings new life to this classic song. And so sexy! LOVE it!!!
I'll put the weight on me, but I just won't lose it
At first very unique, but after listening to each song, she kind of makes Every song sound the same and adds the Bonnie Raitt and Joni Mitchell notes that she memorized
sound the same? Wow - i don't hear that at all
She's good but don't think she's a winner in my opinion. There's just so much more range with Mara, Huntley, etc.
Lila's voice is so beautifully soothing, vintage sounding and rare! I wish her lots and lots of success going forward, but Mr. Pfizer is her coach, and that's a big problem for me and much of America! I love Ruby's voice the best, and the Queen of Country is her coach! GO RUBY!! TEAM REBA!!❤
She should have sang this last week and River or Both sides now for the finale. She lost her chance , I see 5th place. Why midtempo and not a ballad ?! Did John not want a winner
🥱
Her voice is beautiful, but I had a hard time understanding the words. They all just sounded slurred together. Not a good song choice for her, imo.
My choice.😊 so jazzy. Hot
A lot like rachelle ferrell
Not a good song choice. ESPECIALLY for finals. First time I've heard Lila with pitch issues. Too bad. I really like her.
It's giving "son of a preacher man" vibes. Sounds great but I wish they chose a different song for her. Her blind audition was really powerful
Why Kayla left 😕
One of my favorite songs of all time. I love her voice but I am sorry the arrangement was terrible. The worst version I've ever heard of the song. Bad song choice for a great singer smh
I can't believe that Legend did not coach her better. This is not a random show ion the beach; this is the finally .... what's wrong with her?
1.Lila
2.Ruby
3.Mara
4.huntley
5.Jacqui
Was it an intentionally bad audio mix, or has the wear and tear affected her singing? Her audio was so low in volume compared to instruments and background singers.
Her voice just does not project at all. Add to that the band and singers are always way too loud -- on everything.
It wasn't all that
That wss hard to watch. With her voice she shouldve sat at piano and slowed it down. She was one of my favs. Should've let her stick to what had got her this far
Nini Iris should have been in the top 5 instead of this lady.
Why is she signing 3 part harmony by herself? Richard, Rick, and Levon are probably turning in their graves. This was an unfortunate choice that made no sense. If you want to honor the Band she would have done well with Rick's take "It makes no Difference", but she should have song Love and Affection or Down to Zero and she wins the whole thing. This should get her 5th place.
How do you sing 3 parts by yourself?
Bad song choice for me..still love her though..
I would have chose a Fleetwood Mac song for her instead of this... like "The Chain"
Not a good arrangement, you can't really speed up the song.
This is the finals I can't believe all the 70s selections that most of the audience probably never heard of. Last performance wasn't anything special to Mellow she is fifth place
Some of the best rock-soul-pop music was written in the 60's and 70's
bet bet bet
