Chandler and Ross are really insecure, so they take that out on others. Like chandler accusing joey of being a woman here and also when he got into some feminine hobbies when Janine moved in. Also like when Ross refusing to hire that extremely qualified male nanny. Joey is more sure of himself. That is why even when the guys are making jokes at his expense he doesn’t mind. I just hate that the show made joey feel bad about the bag later on. Effectively taking chandler and ross’s generally sexist view of “guys need to be macho all the time” for comedic effect.

Matthew, Matt and David are all wearing makeup in this scene whilst playing these characters so the joke is childish. It would be like Rachel teasing Monica for dying her hair when Jennifer Aniston herself colours her hair all the time.

I watched friends in Lockdown then and I started to crush Joey but then I realised that this show is so old and now Joey is also old😋
Until 2017 or 2018 he was the one that aged the best. Amazing how I only started watching Friends when its 7th season was airing. But WB had many reruns over the weekend, so I was updated until the start of season 8.
