My mother used to do decoupage. She did trays and would use vintage looking drawings, singe them on the edges for an aged look do her thing and then literally bake the tray. They looked really great. Loved watching. Then she stopped and did knitting and crochet. My brother could sketch a person’s face. No model. Right out of his head and it looked so real and then he dabbled in painting with water colors. Dad would draw a foot with a head and face and funny pretend inventions. My art was in school as a kid discovered I’m not too shabby. I don’t know what it’s called but we did stuff on a wet piece of paper and paint and it would spread a little. I did an owl on a branch, made up some writing that looked Japanese and it was displayed for parent teacher meetings. It wasn’t until 1997 when started my animal art recycling at the same time after dabbling in hook rugs. I inherited the art bug. Doing art is like breathing. I have to do it. When I take breaks or late at night I watch artists. I just discovered you.
I cannot wait to be able to make this, I just need to finish other projects so I can have 2 empty tape rolls 😄.
