I have had to do the same, i have a repetitive strain injury in my left shoulder from playing to much darts, it doesnt seem like its getting better anytime soon. So as frustrating as it is, I am now only throwing right handed!

I've done the same, got dartitis really badly right handed, went from a 75avg to hitting the wall waist high. Now around 55avg left handed having switched a year ago

As you asked, I get around 30-35 in around the clock singles depending on the day, 3 dart avg across a set hovers between 40 and 50, first 9 dart avg is around 50-60.

Have you tried writing left handed? I had to learn to use my left hand in everything and I found practicing writing really helped all round. Well done on what you've achieved

Well done mate, done the same myself due to Dartitis in my right hand. Barely could hit board to begin with and after 2 weeks could almost hit 180. I had to change darts though. Keep up the quality videos 🤜🤛👏👏👏
Great video. Good to see you taking the darts out the board with non throwing hand like you would throwing righty. The easiest way to switch is to imagine a mirror image of your normal throw (unless you throw like Chizzy, then i would really try to simplify it)
I'm glad you're enjoying darts again. I have been thinking about switching to my left hand as well. I'm blind in my right eye and feel like i would be able to see better if i threw lefty. My throw lefy is pretty gross, but i never really gave it a real try.
Have around a 50 average and play for youth county stuff in Ireland. Got 29-28-30 in 3 seperate tries. Loving the vids mate!
I’ve been through the same, I ended up using 4 darts, most players are accepting of my decision however the calls of being a cheat online does hurt somewhat.

I need some advice on my throw. It’s not necessarily for the throw but more on the mental side of things. I’ve been playing since the Luke littler hype but I’ve been playing loads everyday. Was averaging in the high 40s but got and injury and couldn’t play for a few days. After starting to play again I noticed my elbow coming really far left( I’m right handed ) maybe to compensate for the injury. But now it’s just part of my throw and I sometimes throw almost across my body leaving me with inconsistent throws a lot. I actually have tried everything to fix this but can’t. My elbow every single time is so far left and it’s hurting my game just thinking about it and knowing I can’t fix it. Should I just try and forget about it and keep playing or should I try find a fix.
Playing around the clock with the left hand right now. I'll let you know tomorrow how it went.
EDIT: Just did it now, first time ever throwing with my left pretty much. 66 darts.
I’ve started playing left handed the last few weeks due to dartitis which I had for the last 18 months I’ve not committed to Pratice as much I should though how much practice on average have you been putting in?
72 sounds pretty good for 1st day of round the clock. ( Just got off couch and tried it. 1st dart straight up and down in the 17. 2nd dart bounce out around bull and 16. 3rd dart missed board. I'm back on the couch now.) Around 60 is my average. Did 23 right handed without warmup.
Play a bit of pub league darts, probably averaging around 60 (70 on a good day) and did it in 24 darts. Great vid mate👍
I average 48 to 52, did rtc in 36 darts. Really great video, not that you are struggling but that I am not alone with my struggles. I play pub darts and am so inconsistent. I won first 10 of 11 games, now getting beat easily.

You need a dart repointer, I have one from harrows, they are super easy to use

I got around the clock without bulls eye in 26 darts with my right hand ( I am a right handed player with average between 55-60). With my left hand I gave up after 21 darts without reaching 4 😂😂😂)

@@SG-sc9vcit’s more about how long u practice. I played in a team and was averaging 30-40 every week win a few games. Then started practicing with mate who is county player who averaged 80 plus. He use to make me start on 401. After a month of playing 4 hours a night four times a week he stopped me having 100 points head start and only let me start. He would win 8-2 out of ten games. I started averaging 60-70. I was hitting 3 to 4 180s a night.
I am playing for 4 years and practicing about 4 times a week for 1-2 hours

Might be worth getting some coaching off Daniel Poole at straight to the point. He did what you did and now averages 80 left handed.
After 3 days no darts I got a 35 round the clock. I usually average around 50 I think.
Took me 24 darts left handned including the green bull 1 to 20.
Did you find that as you got a bit better your scoring got worse as you were hitting more 5 and 1 instead of 18
I think u hit two 20s instead of one with the 18 mate. And more treble 20s with the ones.

Ok i just went to try shoot 9 darts with my left hand.....i feel likea retarded,because of 9 4 they didn't even land in the board,and the five which landed they as sell be shot randomly.....so,you should be proud of your result after 30 days,because i guess if i try your challenge i would likely cut my hand afrer 5 days...

My average is around 65-75
Iv played on and off for about 10 years. Only ever played 2 seasons in a row. Iv played super league first time this year. Only about 1 game out of 7-8. I have won. been going through the worst patch Iv ever had. Been about a year now.
Managed to only lose 1 leg
In 17 games about 3 years ago in leamington north div two 😂. But moved back to Hinckley and play at the wykin club. We are top of division 2. Stony Stanton Darts league. Just had a go at round the world 1st time it took me 22 darts. I missed 9 and 11 once. Hope this helps mate
