Those TAB exhausts sound wicked. At highway speeds I like ot hear my radio clearly, I wonder if this system would be too loud. I must be getting old. LOL
Great video as always but id point out two things. First whenever removing o2 sensers always unplug them and wait to remove them after you take the pipe off the bike. Its very easy to damage one by not doing it this way. Second, never reuse head bolt nuts. Says it in your service manuel. They warp due to high heat and when reused can potentially damage the threads leading to a much more involved repair plus 4 new nuts are pretty cheap to avoid this. Bikes looking great brother. Keep up the great work.
Absolutely appreciate the feedback! I did read that in the service manual, but I’ve never ran into a problem before. As for the O2 sensors, I probably will be removing them completely from now on for videos. I just chose to keep them on for this install. Again, thank you for the feedback! Great video! I'm installing mine now. And I just bought those swivel socket wrenches. Thanks for posting them. By the way, anyone doing this on a 2022 SG ST do not take off the transmission cover. You only have to remove the bottom bolts. Luckily, I saw it starting to drip before I pulled it off. lol

Going back to TABs on my 21 RKS. The cobra NH were just not what I wanted tone wise and picked up a used set. Got the FM jackpot header so should get a quality sound and some more fun on the throttle. Your bike sounds great man

You're gonna have to invest in that dynojet powervision tuner and target tune if you want that aftermarket market cam set up. I've got all my parts for the aftermarket stage 2 upgrade accept the headpipe.SS 475c cam chest kit, Dyno jet pv2 tuner, Dyno jet target tune, fueling vented dipstick, tab 4.5" zombies, RC components hiflo intake. Still debating on the tab 2-2 or 2-1-2 headpipe. If I'm not getting enough torque out of that setup. instead of going with the tab coned performance rings, I'm just gonna slip a 2.5 louvered baffle in the right can and run a zombie on the left. Everyone has been saying that's the shiznits.

The one thing that I read that is recommended but not required is using their beehive valve springs if you're going with their 472 reaper cam due to valve train noise. Well shit man, I'm no mechanic but it's to my understanding you gotta take your motor apart to get to where those are at. I got quoted 8 hours labor just for that. That's why I went with the SS man. That 475 is the best sounding cam out there and it also holds it own if I decide to go with a big bore kit later on down the road.
@@RAIDERWORLD another this is to if I remember correctly without looking it up. I don't think fueling has an aftermarket chain tensioner for the cam with the M8. Upgraded Screaming eagle and SS were the only ones I could find that made upgraded chain tensioners for the cam on M8. I looked all this shit up just recently.
@@RAIDERWORLD so you have a power commander tuner that works with the auto tune. The only thing I didn't like about the power commander is that it blocks your bikes ecm CPU and sends out its own program and has to stay plugged in. Just one more component that has the possibility of failure. The powervision that works with the target tune actually intergrades with the CPU and doesn't have to stay plugged in. I'll be the first to admit I'm no mechanic, but I really dove in your videos, moonshine Harley, tab, and some others. Made phonecalls to dynojet and SS to buy the correct parts myself. Really appreciate ya DevilDog!

Yeah I wanted to do a whole TAB exhaust system for my 21 Road Glide Limited, but I have to wait and see how this new exhaust law plays out up here in New York State. No modifications to exhaust. Need to see how inspections are going to go with exhaust before I purchase. Nice video. I hope I can purchase soon.

They mainly going to make it hard for the shops inspecting the bikes, with high fines and loss of licenses. So don't think you will have an issue if you visit New York. Nobody really knows yet how this is really going to play out.

Hi again, just looked at this install and noticed that you may have gained a little larger gap between your swing arm and the muffler on the right side. Is that correct?
I know this is a yr old video, hope you still get notifications for it. I only have the Tab 4.5 slip on tips on my 2022 Road Glide Special. I now want to add the headers. Will it help the motorcycle sound louder? Is there a difference with it or does it just help with torque and HP
How did the pro street tuner perform after being dynotuned ? I decatted my head pipe and it doesn’t perform like it did with the cat in. I have the hd stage 2 in my 2020 roadking and now getting ready to put my catted head pipe back on. Put it back the way it was
The SE pro-street tuner is ok, but obviously with any Harley products, it’s going to restrict max output (EPA Regulated) I’ll be switching over to the DynoJet PowerVision Auto Tuner, and that should definitely increase torque and horsepower.

Got a quick question, I know your also in Tampa and I have a 135 SE with a S&S 540c Cam, being installed this week at my local Harley Shop, I’m running a Thundermax and D&D billet 2-1, with the new Alloy Art Boom Box 2.8 air, and a Trask chain conversion, with a man-o-war compensator, Hayden tensioner, and Barnett scorpion clutch. I’ve see all your Vlogs, my question is can you recommend someone to tune a thundermax, I’m in Tampa.

I’m currently running a stock 114 engine, so it’s not going to give mind blowing numbers. Im doing this project in stages, so I’m curious to see what the numbers will be once I go to a stage 4. I personally get a better feel with the seat dyno, so I’m happy with it 👍🏽
@@RAIDERWORLD it will make a difference but I've built a lot of Harleys and I've found that for most bikes d&d is the best pipe to go with if your looking for a torque monster of a bike and I would go for a dark horse compensator because it's way better than Harleys junk and don't forget rocker studs when you can it
Actually the dudes at tab said their 2-1-2 headers put out the same performance as the 2-2. The numbers were basically the same. The only difference is that if you want to change the look of your bike by going with the 2-2 headers which are about $300 more than the 2-1-2 headers that use the stock oem heat shields.
I have tabs on my 2020 RG and getting a stage 2 (by H_D) this month if I get those headers will it void the warranty your bike sounds good a thanks for the video?
That’s awesome! Unfortunately, yes. They will most likely void your warranty as far as the engine. I haven’t actually checked with my dealership, but this is why I used the Screamin Eagle Pro Street Tuner from Harley. That way the ECM is still reading a Harley Product Map
I'm out here in Socal and my dealer told me if I use the S.E.P.S.T my warranty is not voided. I'm going to put tab headers and slip-ons on my street glide when i put the stage 2 on

I can hear my system at high speeds. And it’s just the basic Rockford Stage 3 setup.

This exhaust does not drown out your stereo. This also depends on what stage Audio you have.

Yes you can. But honestly, I would just disconnect the O2 sensors and remove them with the headers.

I’m installing the tab exhaust headers my crossover is round and it looks like my belt is just barely touching it is that supposed to be that way
If your bike is Jacked up on a stand or scissor jack, that could be the case. Once you lower it, it shouldn’t be touching anymore

Actually the dudes at tab said their 2-1-2 headers put out the same performance as the 2-2. The numbers were basically the same. The only difference is that if you want to change the look of your bike by going with the 2-2 headers which are about $300 more than the 2-1-2 headers that use the stock oem heat shields.
I have tabs on my 2020 RG and getting a stage 2 (by H_D) this month if I get those headers will it void the warranty your bike sounds good a thanks for the video?
That’s awesome! Unfortunately, yes. They will most likely void your warranty as far as the engine. I haven’t actually checked with my dealership, but this is why I used the Screamin Eagle Pro Street Tuner from Harley. That way the ECM is still reading a Harley Product Map
I'm out here in Socal and my dealer told me if I use the S.E.P.S.T my warranty is not voided. I'm going to put tab headers and slip-ons on my street glide when i put the stage 2 on
