Time to get behind him the same way we always do.
I've watched a lot of videos and analysis that people have shared. It all sounds fairly positive in terms of style of football. The Premier League is obviously a completely different challenge but you can see he's passionate and tries to play progressive football.
He seems like a decent bloke, he got some character and personality which will hopefully get fans onside.
I know you've suggested he's 4th choice, but Amorim or Alonso would have always be a similar types of gambles.
It's up to Edwards & co to determine the futures for Salah and Nunez and ensure that the necessary reinforcements are made to ensure he's got a fighting chance.
I think if the team are able to adapt to his style of play and with strong recruitment we could be challenging for trophies again next season. Obviously only time will tell and he's not helped by the Euros delaying players returning to preseason training.
But everyone's talking about a potential downhill slide, it could quite be the opposite. Treble incoming 24/25, heard it here first. 😂

Did you spot the message from Juergen in his farewell speech. He called Arne Slot the new coach and then corrected himself saying new manager. Was this a message or a warning to the owners about how things should be going forward? I just love how Juergen gets his message across powerfully but in a subtle way.
No, I thought it was just the old thing of Europeans being used to saying 'coach' but in England it's 'manager'. After all he still says Bobby 'Firminho' instead of Firmino and 'European League' instead of 'Europa league'..
Dreadful that FSG haven't made any statement regarding Jurgen going and Arne coming in as a new Coach. Deadly silence.
No 'thanks for everything' - type official message from FSG definitely fuels the theory that he's not leaving on the best of terms for one reason or another..

Maybe i read into Klopps speech too much but I did notice he called Slot the new coach then hastily corrected himself to manager.
Lets go though im excited for the summer and into next season ! Just hope he's well backed this window to give him a chance.
Best thing I can probably say about Arne Slot is the growth with Santi Giménez who played in Liga MX for Cruz Azul before Feyenoord, which is a team I’ve watched since I was born basically I’m a Cruz Azul fan by way of my dad, I myself picked up on Liverpool because of my love for Steven Gerrard growing up. Santi Giménez has grown much in Europe, he’s Mexico best forward right now. So to me it seems like Arne Slot has helped him in that capacity, helping his game grow.

Onwards and upwards mate. I watched a video from Dutch TV yesterday of Slot's last game. The fans love him, not because of his personality, which seems amicable but because he plays dam good winning football. In the end that's what it's all about, winning games of football and doing it with style as a bonus. I'm more baffled FSG have known since November that Klopp was leaving and we've ended up with the fourth choice option. But I'll give him time and my support, good luck Arne 🤞🏻
I agree people are overreacting. Klopp's been an amazing manager getting Liverpool back to the top, but he announced he was leaving 4 months ago. We've had time to process it. I'm looking forward to the summer window and a new direction.
I think it would be a wise move for Slot to bring Kuyt into his coaching staff. The fans would buy into it more and he'd get a better day-to-day insight into the Liverpool way. If we're going Dutch we might as well go all in 😜

See the Athletic are saying that Edwards and FSG knew in Feb that Alonso wouldn't be coming. I mean that is impressive from Edwards seeing as he hadn't supposedly accepted the job until early March👀

The comment on Dutch managers not doing well in the league, let's not forget Klopp is currently the only German to win the Premier League, so you could argue the same for German managers? I'm not excited by Slot, but that doesn't mean I'm not behind him. Let's pass judgement after we've seen some ball under his management 👊🏻
I think he's going to surprise a few... personally I think he's a very likeable guy, nice chap & I can see why the club thought he could work. I've seen today Hughes is keeping In touch with Alonso's agent for the foreseeable future... interesting if true. I think Slot deserves the respect of LFC fans & will need the support of the fantasy to give him a fighting chance cause the media will be bang after him from the off.

Any of the other choices might have worked or might not have worked. It doesn't matter. Arne is our guy and we'll get behind the new gaffer.

Amorim, to me, looks more prickly as you say, than Slot for sure. I think we've got the right guy. If you liked certain things about your ex, you move on but you look for those things in your new partner. That's what they've done, and it looks like they couldn't have done it better given the other options, imo.

The transition would have had less fanfare if Alonso or Amarin had been announced as the next manager as most fans had bought into one of them taking over,as it is there is some feeling of underwhelmed and unknown with Slot being announced by the fanbase, I'm sure most will get behind Slot when he starts but it will be interesting to see how much grace and goodwill he gets if results are mediocre.
Let's go, go, go. Once Man City are relegated for 115 bad things the way ahead will be clear for Slott to take the lot. Ye Ha!

People have to remember klopp s first couple seasons we finished 8th then 6th I think so just shows success isn't instant - gotta give Slot time

alright i loved everything about the farewell, all the clips and sky interviews with klopp...but lol that chant by klopp for slot, i dunno is it just me but that was cringy! i thought it was some wwe show . But yeah it was great to see the gaffa get the send off.
