You can do your time relatively easier as nobody really cares about you and won't bother you. Most of the stories from guys about men's prisons are guys who have massive egos, when these guys do time, they attract trouble because their behavior brings it to them. It's the same guys who love the spotlight, which is also why they like sharing everything about themselves. It's the same thing, it's pretty commonly known that male guards who work in women's prisons prey on the inmates. Rape is probably more common than reported. There is less violence overall in women's prisons than men, but it doesn't mean there hasn't been women dying while in prison either. More women probably live like slaves in women's prisons than guys do in men's prisons. I'm sure the tolerance for abuse is much less in men's prisons. Guys will probably choose to kill or die with their honor than be another man's slave. I personally would rather die in GP than do time in PC because I couldn't respect myself as a coward or a rat.
