The red is actually just dyed to distinguish that it is a salted egg. I'm sure you'll love the puto bumbong that they're selling as it looks original. There are a lot of "fake putobumbong" nowadays but that one that they have there is made from "galapong" which is the original infringement of puto bumbong. I MISS PUTO BUMBONG! That's the first thing I'd eat once I get back home to the Philippines but sadly it's a seasonal food and it's difficult to find an authentic puto bumbong nowadays. And the grilled circle one that you ate was pork intestine. I love that too. It's better than chicken insteatine

I think Bibingka is made of glutinous rice (a common ingredient in Filipino rice desserts) and coconut milk as main ingredients.

BTW: "BIBINGKA" is a glutinous rice cake - one of the oldest traditional rice cakes in the Philippines that is usually cooked by grilling it
Max, you should have tried the puto bongbong. The ube colored steaming delicacy when you bought the bibingka. It only comes out during Christmas season esp Simbang Gabi.
Im from Philippines but I left home at an early age but always come back to explore my home country but I would love to tour Philippinsa with this Guy.. I dont mind to be a camera holder and pay for his foods as long as I get to explore and do food trips like he does.. 😁
