- After all these years of making Digital Planners that I've been using with the app GoodNotes, I'm surprised I didn't make one of these beginner friendly introduction/tutorial videos sooner because the app is super user friendly, but can be intimidating if you don't know where to start! I hope this is helpful for anyone looking to start digital planning, but not sure how to do it!

hi there. thank you for this tutorial. It was great. So here is where things start to get confusing. How do I know which journal to use? Why does it seem so confusing setting one up?
I'm not sure if you're talking about digital planners or not. It just depends on the vibe you like and what kind of planning you typically do. On if it's weekly or daily, dated or undated, etc. So I would browse Etsy for some ideas and to see what people are offering before you decide on the planner for you! sometimes it's trial and error until you find one you love!
how did you upload that calendar?
Not sure if you'll be able to help me but for some reason the read only icon that sit's in the upper right hand corner of the tool bar is missing where would I find it? Thanks for your help!
It might look different if you're using Goodnotes 6, where this video was from Goodnotes 5. I would try Googling for your version on where it moved to.
How do you convert handwriting to text while writing?
For all the students out there recording your lectures is a life changer but the only annoying thing is that you can hear yourself writing on your iPad especially if you have a glass screen protector lol 😅

Marissa, I’ve had goodnotes 1 day. I downloaded a digital budget planner from Etsy and I have no idea how to use it. How to go from month to month
there's a writing mode button that has to be toggled for you to use the pencil and then toggled again for you to click the hyperlinks. that's how you click the buttons and move through the planner. :)
Hi!. how do you protect your digital planners you sell from being copied?
Unfortunately I really don’t. I’m not sure if there’s ways TO, but I don’t do anything specific.
I was tired of my paper planner stacking up over the years. Would these planner save for the future and does it take a lot of space GB on the iPad?
It depends on the planner you choose, they all have different sizes of GB. I would recommend looking into a non dated planner so you can reuse it, but the dated planners will only work for the dates IN the planner and then you'd have to purchase & download a new planner after that one is finished.
Where'd you get the vet tech stickers from?
the dog/cat digital stickers?? I made them myself!! They're on my website if you're interested
When purchasing a planner what comes with it and how often to update????
On my website or ETSY it lists every page that comes in the planner you're looking at (since it's different depending on the one you're looking at) and then you never have any updates on the planner. you may have app updates for the app you're using, but the planner is purchased as is and is good until the dates "expire" and you finish the planner essentially and it's time to get next years :)

I got it from the phone store when I bought it! But there are similar ones on amazon I'm sure.

Yes! Since this video was posted GoodNotes released a newer version that may look different.
As a digital planner for the last 5-6 months, I’m so sick of “new to digital planning” videos! I want to see what tips and tricks people have figured as they’ve used their iPad planners! Please please make the more advanced ones!
