Getting in a trailer with a nervous and cautious horse is a dangerous thing. If the horse gets that flight reaction and your in there with him you could get kicked, smashed and any number of bad things and have nowhere to escape because your in the trailer. I really like this trailer loading approach, thanks for sharing West.

I don't typically give compliments to horse trainers I find on youtube... but you've done a really good job and helping people to understand the science behind horses. :)

That little pup was either astoundingly brave or an unbelievably big dummy.

Great video! You made perfect sense. How many times have we fought them to get in the trailer thinking they are just being brats. Change your mind, change your attitude, change your behavior - for them and us.

Her being in the trailer is now where she can relax. Her thinking side of her brain is working. Not the reactive side like it was when she was spinning and jumping out. Good she responds to the light pressure u give to her to go in. Now show me the same thing with a horse that’s green.

Science works exactly the same with a green horse. We use this exact set up on Mustangs for their first time trailer loading! It's super easy and calm!!
