RBS winning has become the GTA version of Max Verstappen winning F1 races basically
Difference being max is competing against other drivers all doing their best to be at the top of the world, whereas RBS is walking into a lobby of people that do gfred once a week with hundreds if not thousands of hours experience.
@@crusty_magogThere are many more people like him who do Gfreds every time they have the chance. Cyptex, Verdilith, Craig, just to name a few of the top ones. The reason he's winning is because of the way he drives. He's consistent, makes quick decisions and his reaction time is insane, that's why he's so good. And even then, he's not winning everything. One of his latest videos he lost two Gfreds in a row to other players.

He doesn't always win, in the other Gfreds RBS does without Broughy Craig wins a lot of those.
@@ESPSJ he could choose to compete against the better players more often instead of stomping these mostly casual players. Just a thought.

Rebla (aka the Tank) GFRED car of the year contender
The Rebla GTS has long been one of my favorite driving SUVs in vanilla GTA. I suspect it's largely unchanged here. It's such an excellent driving experience!
This was so much fun!! Was right with you and Verdilith on top of Mt Chiliad, but then didn't trust my ruined Infernus (and myself^^) to do the hail mary, and haven't really done the normal parachute line. Still: second GFRED and Top 20 :)
GTA is plagued by random falling light posts lately.
I'm happy that Broughy finally discovered how incredible Rebla is. I've driven so many hours in GTA Online driving it and man this car handles so good, stable and predictable and also can handle so many hits and damage during missions. Great allrounder.

If you made mini races that were parts of the course. A hail mary course, a swim/run course, etc.

Dude, look at you improving your start (despite issues), working through traffic issues as best can, being smart down Chiliad, shining where you're best (Observatory transitions), and trying to improve the Hail Mary, with improving positions throughout, kudos to you!

The BTCC does reverse grid order and success ballast for a reason, and it makes for some amazing racing. I don't know how it could be implemented on PH/8G, but it's worth investigating.
This has been a big improvement over the last video. The vibe felt a lot better and your attitude was way more positive this time creating an actual enjoyable veiwer experience. I see you took everyone's criticism from last week and turned things around. Thanks!

I put myself in a deep hole from the start on this. I was tabbed out at the start and didn’t realize it I was 2nd to last off the island.
about getting burnt out with gfred. i have an idea.
rename gfred to OGfred, and make new freds themed off their letter. Afred Bfred Cfred... Xfred Yfred Zfred etc. same number of checkpoints and are placed at places that have something to do with that letter, rather as the name of the place, a mission that takes place there, someone's name that did something famous/notable like a big stunt there, etc. as well as traffic only being vehicles that start with that letter. for example, Afred. Checkpoints at Alamo Sea, Astro theater, Arcadia center, Airport, Ammunation Altruist camp, etc. with traffic being alpha, adder, asterope, etc. and when it comes to the letter G, save that for the gta vi map, both to save on confusion, and in honor of the glorious gfred name that has provided so many years of entertainment. it deserves to be the first fred in vi. Gator keys, Gelhorn pawn&gun, Green Jewel hotel, Grass rivers, and whatever G thing is at the top of the map so it crosses all over the map.

RBS winning? No way!
In IRL terms, Broughy's character has one of the best outfits for the entirety of the trek from the starting island to the highway. Meanwhile, someone he followed up the stairs as he entered the running phase of that trek was a female character in high heels, which only handled the entire trek through game physics.

Got a question: Been watching since the first Random All Races, but lost interest after a year or so. Recently I rediscovered the channel and am really enjoying the videos. Back then the videos were on Project Homecoming and now on 8th Gear. Why is that?

Man, some Gfreds like this you don't end up that far from the regular winners, maybe if you consider a bit of practice you could win more often or at least get less frustrating races. Anyways, I never miss a Gfred video. Cheers.
His driving is already on the top level. All he needs to do is just learn the faster lines and he will be right up there with the top guys
Yes, indeed. I was referring to practicing the specifics for Gfred, like the most recent lines.
Should do prizefred, I feel like anyone who can get a podium in a 120 person race deserves something. Could be that viewers donate to create the prizes for a weekly race.
Some may respond with the same handful of people would just keep winning, but when people know there's something extra up for grabs they'll soon get to work on owning their gfred skills
adding any sort of monetary prize will increase the sweat and competitiveness and the toxicity, and is against the point of doing these at the end of streams

Hey Broughy, why don't you have a little competition on who can make the best G-Fred 2.0? Start from a different island, have different interesting checkpoints and have parts where cars come from both directions. We can still keep Chiliad and the Hail Mary/parachute part the same but change up all other parts.
If anything it'll make it worse because those who are naturally better in cannonballs will have an advantage, and those who want to run the game and learn the best routes will also get an unfair advantage

it _could_ be fun but it wont change the problem broughy has where the same people are winning, those who are naturally good at cannonballs or have the time to play this job over and over will have an advantage and overall worsen the current problem :D

i mean that statement is still true, leveling the car and jumping out means you open your chute faster -- and brough regardless didnt die so thats a successful hailmary, even if he had to run the last bit on the island
I'm glad you decided not to slow down the top players all the time, BUT as a variation maybe they could have handicaps in certain level the playing field race's.
I still think you should change the checkpoints each season. Either new checkpoints or old ones in a different order. That way nobody can grind the same route for years and it'll be new and fresh each season.

I always thought the fun of gfred was a bunch of regular people in the stream play it for fun and antics. Idk, constantly having some of the top racers all in the same gfred takes the fun of same random guy winning. I think gfred should go back to broughy and viewers playing. Obviously there is no hate towards those top guys, i think competition comes naturally but gfred was never about that

yeah I 100% agree with you, always had so much fun watching gfreds now its just plain boring, cause you know whos gonna win, takes all the excitement away.

All I'm saying is that gfred was ruined when speed running became the main cause to some rather than an unpredictable race. I watch the very first gfred and I watch now and it is not even close to what it used to be. And when the same people started winning over and over again I knew it would be a problem, broughy even thought about ways to make it fair and addressed it a few weeks ago
