Mr Campbell has been very down to earth and articulate always.That aside. Whenever there was an operation of evacuation. It was always Air India that picked our Bharathi . It saved so many lives. I understand there is ground to cover. We as customers also need to bit understanding…it should always not be abt money . I think give Air India a full chance and time. They will definitely shine. Campbell seems to be doing an excellent job. The only people criticizing him are those who benefited from the old government way of life by way of nepotism, favouritism and freebies. Privatising Air India has to be one of the best decisions taken by this government.

Any chance that the current fleet of AI crafts will ever be fixed ? I don't know about the business/first class ... but the condition of economy class (especially on International flights) is STILL APPALLING even after 2 years of Tata's takeover !! My prediction .... Mr. Campbell is on thin ice and will be BOOTED OUT if the conditions don't improve in the next one year. So far, we haven't seen a single iota of improvement in AI ... both in ground service or air service and that will eventually make for some sorry looking spread-sheets. And Navika-ji, we don't fly AI because of some nationalistic fervor as you indicate ... but because it's the most economical right now with direct flights from US to Delhi (and to other countries as well). But even cheap-skate customers like me are seriously considering if the savings are worth the hassles of flying AI. So let's not get all jingoistic about Indians wanting to fly AI because of some national pride. It's all about the money vs comfort.
