    Great video. Just wondering about a few things:
    - Why the reactive and active power are a phasor sum and not algebraic? Why do they work in two different planes?
    - If the reactive power is going back and forth, then why the bills are high when the reactive power can be added to the circuit in the first cycle of turning the circuit on and then it’s only going back and forth. So we should only be charged for adding reactive power to the circuit in the first cycle only?
    - Why the current and voltage goes out of phase (why current lags or leads in inductor or capacitor). How is it possible in terms of physics.

    (1)Motor unit is kw but motor is produced magnetic field inside the motor so it is required reactive power and also active power
    So why not unit is kvar
    (2)How the reactive power helps to flow the active power?
    (3)In mixed of resistor and inductor instantaneous power you talk the active power and reactive power are present in solution of equation how it is possible please told this.

      1. In motor....the rating is provided on the basis of output....that is mechanical power ...and mechanical power is expressed in kw.
      For 2 and 3 ....check my all my videos on active and reactive power....also instantaneous power.....in power system series

    Brother i have one question...when high uses of electrical energy reduces cost of generation and efficiency improves ...then why switch off the lights when not in used is to be considered??

      Increase in load till optimum point... improves the efficiency and reduce the cost of generation ...but as in india we are always overloaded...and there are scarcity of power. So it is important to switch off the lights to reduce the load and make it to optimum loading for generators.
