    Great video series. I've had Hyperion for years. This will be a nice addition.

      It is a cool project. There are so many different options now for lights. Glad you liked the videos!

    What wud be the most appropriate setup for multiple long lengths of LED strips - one ESP and lots of power supplies or multiple ESP (can the chained?) eg 60ft long hallway with low high leds strips on either side?

    Great video, what effect would you recommend if we want to cycle through all solid colors in a seamless manner (ie fade from color to color)

    hello
    I have problems connecting with wled via esp32.
    I manage to connect to wled from the phone as on the computer. No worries at this level. when I plug the led strip into the esp32, only the 6th led lights up green.

      Are you sure you have the correct number of LEDs defined in WLED?

      @@ThisSmartHouse yes ...
      And even without de connecting the data wire ,it's the same green light on.
      What the lights are supposed to do if I connect theem only With power without data?

    Any idea why I don't get any color blends? I get solid red green blue only. No blending between colors and no white. If I set the color to white the led strips shuts off. I'm using ws8215 60 leds / meter strips

      You have selected the correct LED type in settings? Are you testing with an effect that has other colors?

      @@ThisSmartHouse Thanks for the feedback. It turns out it was a power issue. Powering 5 meters of 8215 from my USB apparently does not give enough juice to run white. Once I added a power supply everything looks great.

    why not espflash tool available on serg74 github?

    • @ThisSmartHouse
      @ThisSmartHouse  Před rokem

      You can if you want. The web flasher is easier for most people.

      @@ThisSmartHouse web flasher is the easiest and most likely way to flash wled or esphome but what I mentioned was esp flash tool, which only requires the serial port which it auto detects and bin file. Your tool required flash size and 0x00 code etc. Esp flash tool is only required if web flashing failed for some reason.

      @ThisSmartHouse  Před rokem

      Good point. I think because my ESP chips were flashed with another project that I had to wipe them first. But your way is much easier.
